Infiniti Gs have won comparison tests against the benchmark 3-series. When was the last time an IS beat a 3-series?

IS-F is higher rated than anything from Infiniti, ever, and rated well on all continents, not just USA.

Not to mention new GS.

If you live in the world where Infiniti is highly regarded, good for you :-).

But has an IS-F beaten a M3? Yeah, I didn't think so. Speaking of Infiniti they currently don't have an equivalent to the IS-F but that will change with the next generation IPL G.

Yea well historically the GS never beat the 5 series in performance and overall, but this generation did.

Looking to the past doesn't ALWAYS get you an accurate reading of the future.

IS-F is quite highly rated, higher than anything Infiniti ever put out... if that will change tomorrow, I am not sure, but Infiniti has long way to go... they are currently 7th luxury brand in the USA, only market where they sell serious number of cars.

On the other hand, IS is based on GS, and GS is highly rated.

Hopefully, 3IS will have a little more power bump even with the carried over engine.

It will definitely lose some weight because it shares platform with the new GS.

What do you mean by "highly rated"?

FYI, the 2013 GS350 F-Sport has posted higher slalom speeds than the 2013 BMW M5.

If the sedan form is unveiled at LA auto show, I expect the coupe to be unveiled at Detroit. It would be faster than I expected, but that's a good thing.
