The European test cycle results in much more inflated numbers than the EPA's. That said, the IS300h's estimated 73 UK mpg beats even the 72.4 UK mpg of the current Prius. So I'd expect around 50mpg in the US, thanks to the magic of DI.

50mpg is insane in this segment. Even amongst diesels.

Default REAR SEAT Increased

Rearseat increased by 70mm or ~2.7 in. That is better than the current one.......

Knee room also increased by 90mm or 3.5 in

around 40 MPG US EPA... it gets same MPG as European Prius v which in turn gets 40 MPG in US.
Of course, different aero profiles for both so it could bit little bit up/down.

But this thing has 240hp, not 200hp like Camry :-)

However, the IS300h's estimated CO2 emission of 99g/km is more than 10% worse than that of the Prius, 89g/km, so the actual fuel economy of the IS300h may not be as good as the Prius after all.

The difference in power is the result that the new 2.5 in the hybrid will have DI.

Where do get this "Prius v"-equivalent figure from? As I mentioned the regular Prius gets 72.4 UK mpg so the estimated 73 UK mpg of the IS300h as quoted by autocar actually beats it.
