yeah but here is the question - how big screen will you get with non nav models? If they make them the same, awesome... if they do big screen for nav, small screen + plastic sides :-).
in this case though, I can also see them using bigger screen but no nav for instance, for higher end models... who knows.... u just hope it looks fine with smaller screen.
I would imagine if it's not the same size as navi models, they'd use the size on non navi ES, RX. It's all covered up though so that I don't know
Not so sure that Windows 8 has such capability right now, while it is built into Android and iOS.
Hopefully, Lexus will make the feature available for WP 8 because its share is growing everyday. I don't really want to spend more just for a few GB of data.

there are plenty of offline apps for maps for both android and iOS... the feature needed has to be first supported by Windows and only then added by Lexus... Since Windows 8 has tiny. tiny marketshare, you probably are better off with buying some affordable Android phone.

I'm using Android right now, the 3rd party apps are crappy and not usable for most occasion. Google released offline nav feature, but it's a few steps behind from Nokia, Navteq, TomTom and other major company. I don't plan on buying IS on its first year again, so hopefully, Lexus will make feature available for WP8 on its 2nd or 3rd MY.
The interior is so nice. Actually prefer it's interior to cars over twice as much. But I do not like the fact that reviews claim it to be less responsive.

+1.
Can't wait to see the interior in person. I absolutely love it.
Josh Jacquot from Edmunds seemed underwhelmed in his little mini review. So did that other guy from autoguide.
Despite what they said I'm still loving what I'm seeing so far.
