Agreed. Toyota needs to swap over to turbocharging like the rest of the industry is doing.
many, those with inside info, have hinted at a turbo motor possibly at midcycle refresh...and with the NX 200t being trademarked, we can lean to believe it's a sure possibility

lets just hope it is actually better engine than 2GR-FSE

I pray not. So many cars have been switched to turbocharging as the lazy way out of meeting emissions and fuel economy standards at the expense of a linear throttle response that an uncorrupted smooth revving smooth responding DRIVER'S car may become an endangered species in mainstream sports sedans. Just look at the latest 535i and 335i at how expediency has triumphed over driving enjoyment <<shudder>>
Please Lexus don't blindly follow the germans off this cliff. Your drivetrains have always been bulletproof AND innovative - come up with something more imaginative then this wretched path the germans have taken. At least wait until you've found a way of eliminating the infamous BMW throttle lag before going down the turbocharging route.
I'd like to think that in a world where most sports sedan makers have abandoned keen drivers just to chase the bottom line( I'm looking at you BMW), Lexus will hold the line and commit to an uncorrupted purist driving experience.

everything you say is true... but what is also true is that marketing is driving it forward, and people simple dont care which is better or not, they just want turbo.
i'd be overly happy with something the lines of a 3S-GTE
wishful thinking
Why Acura is Honda, Infiniti is Nissan and Lexus is Toyota ! Why you said Lexus is Lexus. Someone could have said Acura is honda, Lexus is Toyota and Infiniti is Infiniti...HEHEH

I certainly hope you're not actually wishing that a turbo 4 would be better than the magnificent 2GR-FSE. Not me! Give me the 6, even if the turbo has way more horsepower.
