If the IS is indeed based off the FT86 and not the GS then I see no reason why they would not offer a 6speed manual. It makes sense right? Acura offers it with the TL SH-AWd, BMw, Mercedes, Infiniti... Manuals are not dead. That is if Lexus goes with the FT86 if they go with w/e the GS has then there will absolutely be no manual tranny. We simply don't know enough about the internal specs of this car yet.

Why is no one listening? Manuals are gone for Lexus. The IS will NOT be offered in a three pedal set-up regardless of chassis. Take your pick of a 6A or 8A (350)

I love the LFA style gauge. I thought I was going to keep my car for next 4 years, might have to trade in for 4IS.

Damn you Lexus for making me want to trade in my IS. I'm already digging the exterior shape, interior, the wheels, and especially that gauge!

Thanks for the updates Hoovey.

i dunno...if I'm really impressed though...it looks good yes but the seat design looks weird IMO...maybe I need to see the full release first then my decision will change....
I love the dash though

Central gauge package looks great. Getting rid of the speedo needle was a no-brainer.
However, doesn't look like they improved the interior manual door lock piece. Always thought ours felt cheap (plastic?).
Well, I'd get this car for that LFA gauge package alone... it looks that hot.
Wonder what the CHP story on the side of the road was.

Kidding me? These are the better ones. Also found on the GX, RX, HS, GS. Good quality plastics, were lucky

Good! I haven't seen the new style locks, so I'll take your word for it.

I"m surprised how closely the shape of the new 3IS resembles the 2IS.

Kelly, overall "shape" is the same, but the styling is much different as is interior and driving dynamics
