I only took one of the one covered with white, but it's a pic of the reflection in my rear view lol. It looked exactly the same though. Both had Michigan plates. Ride height looked a bit higher than my stock height IS, so I'm guessing they were AWD models.

Any details on the ML system? Possible to get it without nav like you could pre-2011?
Also, I see for option packages- Lux and F-sport... are they going to continue the 11-12 optioning where it forces you to pick between "the actual good luxury options" or "the sport suspension and some badges"? Or any chance they'll restore the F-sport package to the glory that was the 06-10 Sport package, where you got both?
and while I'm asking... any chance at all of a moonroof delete option? It was never available in the US other than if you gave up a lot of the good stuff and went with the X package for a few years, but was apparently available more easily in other countries.

VGRS = Variable Gear Ratio Steering
Prime Cuts: Lexus Variable Gear Ratio Steering
We slice open the activist of active systems.
via Car & Driver
The ability to change a vehicle’s steering ratio has many advantages. A quicker ratio (fewer turns lock-to-lock) can give a vehicle a deft feel. At high speeds, switching to a slower ratio (more turns lock-to-lock) imparts a better sense of stability. Lexus is not alone in using a computer-controlled system to change ratios, but its approach is pretty trick. Note that this type of active steering is far more involved than the variable-ratio units with rack teeth cut at differing angles; they can’t make ratio changes on the fly over the full range of lock. The more complex Lexus (and Audi) approach is essentially a gearbox built into the steering column between the steering wheel and the pinion gear. Unlike BMW’s active steering system, which employs a planetary gearbox, Lexus’s Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) uses something called a wave generator and a flexible gear. Lexus claims its system is more accurate and quicker acting than others. VGRS can be found on the LS sedan, the LX SUV, and the new GS F Sport. We sliced into the unit to get an idea of how it works and because we wanted to find out what a wave generator is.

Fantastic thread,, thanks guys. ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Much more information than I expected at this point at least compared to what we got before the 2IS came out. I remember Bob Carter (I think that was his name) had a group chat to reveal 'some' select details about the 2IS shortly before it came out and we had some good posts here on CL but I don't remember knowing nearly as much as what's in this thread already and we're still a few months out!!
Please keep the info coming!
