New member introduction here. I purchased today, a 2023 Lexus IS 350 F Sport in atomic silver with red leather interior. I pick it up Friday, needed to take some custom pieces off my trade in which were not helping the trade in value any.

I was amazed so see so many cars on the lot. The salesman told me it was due to the Houston Open being sponsored by Lexus and Lexus bringing quite a bit of inventory to the event for the public to see, afterwards sending to the SE Texas dealers.

I am coming from a 2021 Ram TRX which is quite the change on many different levels. 😂

I picked mine up in Austin with 5 miles on the odometer, I doubt it was from the demo in Houston, but yeah, 2 months ago I was at the dealership with 0 car, now they got numerous IS, ES, GX

Congrats on your new IS! Sounds like a classic combo! Please show us some pics and tell us what type of deal you got.
All the cars you saw on the lot were new? If so, that would be a first in a long time for any dealer. Plenty of used cars but few new cars. Having a lot of new cars on a lot should have yielded better wheeling and dealing.

I drive 80 miles round trip to work each day. With gas prices at their peek, I was paying $250/week. I parked it in April and haven’t driven it much since. I suppose it was time to shift the investment elsewhere.

tons of fun to drive, it will be missed. So much power, never came across a race I didn’t win.

I checked out two dealers in Houston. Both had over thirty IS350’s on the lot, no dealer mark up at either and had no interest at selling under MSRP. It came down to who was giving me fair trade in value.

That is great news! This is the first report of any dealer having any sort of inventory. Hopefully a turning point here!

I suspect it to be short lived. Salesman had mentioned how Lexus had sponsored the Houston Open which was Nov 10-13, that these vehicles which flooded the dealers were from the event. It sounds like vehicles from the event were spread over a several hundred mile radius.

It rides very easily in deep snow, this is the second winter, never got stuck anywhere, the main thing is good winter tires, but it gives fun) this photo was taken near Kiev, a Russian tank that could not, after meeting with Javelin)
