For me the GT just has too many of these factory faults (driveline vibration/engine BBQ tick, flimsy manual transmission and catastrophic automatic - there are lawsuits for both) to be enjoyable to drive and Ford doesn't acknowledge or fix them.
Otherwise the GT is a very good looking car and the sound of the engine (when it is not ticking) is fantastic.
However, pop in any S550 forum and you'll get the picture - it is post after post with issues and no help from the dealers.

Ford is having some outrageous quality and engineering issues with their cars straight from the factory and the dealer service departments are abysmal to say the least (they can't even perform an oil change without seriously messing up).

Yeah when I was looking the ac condenser (or whatever part it was under the dash) failures that were happening 2015-2017 and the then new 460hp Coyote engine failures were enough to scare me away and buy an IS 350 F Sport instead. Recently looking at Shelby GT500's and having some mixed messages there on the transmission I said pass. I had already passed on the Shelby GT350 for it's motor issues also. Welcome to the club.
You are also correct with the 350's motor issues - I have heard some horror stories about those.
One could probably forgive all these faults just to own one of the last great American V8s but the Ford dealers are of no help to any of these issues.

Hi everyone,
Long time lurker on the Clublexus forum. Been following this forum months before purchasing my GS and learned a lot from everyone! Thank you everyone for posting and sharing information about the GS and your builds!
Came from owning an 08' IS250 for 13 years. Needed more space, power, and a little bit more updates and the GS was the perfect upgrade! After owning this car for 2 months, I got to say what everyone says is true, perfect balance between luxury, comfort, reliability, and sportiness.
A little about this car:
1. 2017 GS350 F-Sport
2. White Exterior/Red Interior
3. Nav/No ML
4. RWD
5. No DRS
6. Planned mods: Coilovers, maybe wheels, and GSF replica trunk spoiler. My vision for this car is to keep it as oem as possible while adding a little touch here and there to make it stand out such as the front lip, rear spoiler, tints, and a slight drop.
7. This replaced an 08' IS250 AWD

2021 IS350 F Sport
Recently joined the club! Found a L/Certified with all the options I wanted and only 8000 miles on it. Exterior color wasn't my first choice, but it's growing on me! Looking forward to many years of fun and reliability with this car
- 2021 IS350 AWD F Sport w/ DHP, Iridium w/ Circuit Red
- Pano View Monitor, Parking Assist, DHP w/ BBS Wheels, Carbon Fiber Spoiler, Moonroof, Triple Beam LED, Nav w/ Mark Levinson
- Windows tinted and partial PPF
Added the chrome delete and F-Sport exhaust and will probably do some more minor stuff like puddle lights and what not. On that note, does anyone know the part number for the OEM 2021 rear bumper applique? I could only find the 2022 one on the Lexus OEM parts site, which I assume works but I want to be sure before ordering one...

Hi all, I've just recently acquired a 2016 IS200T with 50k miles that I'm looking to keep long term.
Coming from a Honda CRZ I owned since 2016, I was looking for an interesting car with more space. If you've ever sat in a EU/JP CRZ you'll know that the rear seats are hilariously small. So far I'm loving the car.
Everything is standard, so the first task is a proper clean, remove the rear wind deflectors (or at least add front ones?!) and check discs/pads, but I'm also looking at how feasible it is to upgrade to the F-Sport speedo cluster. Then I need to have a look into the service schedule.

Hi all,
Had a 2022 NX250 AWD and it was pretty ok but a few buddies and I hit up a Lexus Performance Driving School event this year and I got hooked on the platform during the autox portions with the IS 500. I wanted an IS 500 but I need AWD since it’s my daily and this seemed like the right compromise. Other than the center stack (feel like I’ve time traveled back 10yrs) the car has exceeded my expectations.
Any advice for an IS newb is more than welcome!

Hi, Just picked up this 2023 IS350F. I come from a long list of cars. Corvettes, MBs,Porsches, Subis, Holden, sport trucks, and recently traded in a 21 Mustang Mach 1 (490HP, 6 speed). I do all my own maintenance . Just doing tints and ceramic coating and then hopefully just enjoy the car without being OCD. Located recently to eastern TN. I ve been on dozens of website forums and hope I can add to this site. Thank you, Mark

two different animals. Only had 6K on the m1 but it s not Lexus quality. It was meant to be a second car but after moving I went from 3 car to a 2 car garage. Guess I wanted something refined , the opposite of the muscle car feel . Lots of shifting, LOL. Everyone wants to race.
Better fuel mileage on the iS. I don t know, my family keeps asking too. I generally have about a 2 year life span before I start looking around. so no big reason, I did get all my money back on the m1 because I ordered it during covid and paid 4% over invoice. Most had $10K markups. So I did noting but change keys with the Lexus . I refused to even pay for the plate transfer. LOL and the salesmen handed me $200 cash because he was one car on the last day from upgrading his bonus. I was holding out for tints and the dealer wouldn't t do it at that point, LOL... a fun day!
