I bought a IS350 F-Sport at the end of July (Matador Red/Black, Nav/Mark Levinson) and traded an '07 335i. The IS has virtually all of the positive characteristics of the 335, but everything feels like a step up in quality. The BMW did have the big torque of the twin-turbo motor, but given that I moved from a six-speed manual to an 8-speed automatic, I really don't notice the difference. Love the way the IS drives around town, yet when you hammer it in the twisties, it's a great sport sedan. In particular, the HVAC system is leagues ahead of that in the BMW. We're thrilled with this car!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and to Lexus. I live in Australia and picked up my 3is 3 weeks ago. Lexus is very much a boutique brand here (read 1 dealership in a city of 2 million). That means we're not having to wait months for our cars. Mine was in stock in exactly the spec I wanted. 350 F Sport, white with black leather (no nulux here), no sunroof (40 degrees celcius here yesterday so screw that). In Oz they come with most of the fruit that's optional in the US, ML, BSM, VGRS, etc. but don't feel bad, MSRP with on roads/GST is over $83k here. I dealt hard and got mine for $75,250 drive away as the dealer was having a slow month.
I'm coming from a 2010 WRX so the interior and ride are a vast improvement. It's not as revvy/manic as the WRX, slower to 60, but is a much much nicer package. Some of you have some impressive mods already. Mine will remain mostly stock like my WRX did. It could do with a bit more exhaust noise though...
Cheers
Josh

Hi there! New to the forum.
Just picked up a new IS250 F-Sport (White/Rioja Red). Technically got this as an early Christmas gift for my mom to replace our aging Acura TSX.
But looking forward to taking it out on the days I get to drive it when I'm home. We've been eying this car for awhile and dimensionally it's almost the same size as our 1st gen TSX which is perfect. Very happy with the car and the way it drives.

I also used to have a first gen TSX. You'll really enjoy driving the IS.
