yeah but the PCS in the LS offer the full braking. they just offer the toned down version on other models including the IS

I have mixed feelings about this, the design is aggressive, however, not a coherent as the 2nd. I will only consider the 3rd G if Lexus comes out with the coupe version, even then, I will have to see in person.

As far as them increasing the POWER, I highly doubt it because the IS-F exists....204hp, 306hp, 400+hp, means that each sedan is pretty marketable vs. 254hp, 356hp, 400+hp, a lot would settle for the 250 or even the 350 and wouldn't think twice about the F unless you have the money to BLOW....JUST my opinion, but it kind of makes sense for them not to add power if they want to keep your interest in the IS-F...
Keeping the same power envelope is going to cost sales on its own account. Particularly from 350 owners like myself. I've officially ruled a 3IS out of my new vehicle options. I have lots of reasons, but the keeping the same power output is a big one.

I have a simple solution for this... UP the power of the IS-F Keeping the same power envelope is going to cost sales on its own account. Particularly from 350 owners like myself. I don't understand the preoccupation with the horsepower number. If the car delivers good performance and is an upgrade in that department, who cares what the HP figure is?

It's a 7 year old power plant going in a bigger car. I doubt they're using any exotic materials if the cheap looking interior is any indication, which means it has undoubtedly gained weight. Not that hard to extrapolate that performance isn't going to be something to write home about.

Even though the engine at its core is the same, things do change. THe 8 speed is supposed to create a faster 0-60 time. Also, just like the ES350 which made do with a carry over, it gained 1-2 mpg combined, and Im sure the IS will as well. Little tweaks here and there make a difference

You talk like engine performance is the only reason someone buys an IS. Obviously not, since the 250 sells so much better than the 350.
Bear in mind that same power plant is in the GS, a larger heavier car than the new IS and delivers great performance without the 8 speed.
