Lol @ the joker in his dad's suit! Who the heck hired him to put in front of the camera??

I like the grill, not sure how I'm feeling about the lights being separated like that, def unique. Interior looks nice. Cant wait to see one in person.

Front grill is weird. If it were more like the GS, IMO would look a little cleaner. The LED's integrated in are interesting.

Interior is BIG THUMBS UP!! Rear I can live with. Let the Photochops begin!

Damn, I expected so much more out of it. I really dislike front and rear lights.

Front is really nice.. the back however I don't like.. Why did they do that with the tail lights wrapped around like that and drooping down? Looks like something Hyundai would do.

Looking at the headlights more, it looks very similar to the FX.

Totally agree.

As someone pointed out earlier, it looks like 2 Nike swoosh symbols below the headlights. I really don't like that.

Not a huge fan of the headlights, but to tell you the truth it's the back end that is a turn off to me. Looks like the new Acura ILX, and the way they taper the lights all the way into the side view of the car dramatically is just... well plain ugly IMO. I really am disappointed... Keep thinking Acura every time I see it. Looks like I'll be keeping my 2IS for a lot longer, and moving to a GS or LS in the future unless they make this look good.

If the new 3IS handles well, then the new styling will sell very well to enthusiasts.
However, this new styling is unlikely to appeal to the mainstream mass market and mass public, so we must not expect a lot of sales from the new 3IS.

It's too difficult to expect 1 body style to do everything; in other words, it's too difficult to expect 1 body style to do 2 jobs.

In truth, Lexus must have 2 different body styles: one mainstream body style to appeal to the broad mass market and general public against the 3 Series and C Class, and a second more aggressive body style with firmer suspension like this new 3IS to appeal exclusively to the smaller group of enthusiasts.
For example, Audi has the A4, but they also have the A5.

A downsized 4GS exterior would be perfect as the "mainstream mass public" body style for the 3IS.

However, the 3IS has a lovely interior; a much smoother and neater interior than the 4GS, and more like what the 4GS interior should have been...

I think it looks plain because of the color. White shouldn't be used for in-door photoshot because it hides and weakens a lot of the lines. Grey or Silver will do a great job at showing the character lines of the IS. Hope they bring back the USB though.

It better not be another awkward reveal in San Francisco.

From what I've heard/read and now what I see in pictures, it looks to be a real shifter. Toyota doesn't use "M" on their limiters, they typically use "S".

not feeling it at all. its like the gs and tsx had an off spring with down syndrome. the interior is a major upgrade except for the crysler style clock. the headlights and nike swoosh shouldve been one piece. the two extra vents on the bottom gots to go along wth the drooping side tail lights.

It was probably inspired by the Toyota Mark X.

Yeah I noticed "M" mode on the shifter.
hmm...I may have to start looking for a used 2011 ISF, not feeling the new look.
