love it in the black. is there a color list yet? im wondering if they'll have it in the same fire agate color as my wife's rx? i think that color might be kinda bad *** on an IS.
edit: nevermind, i just saw a photo of a 2012 in that color and i think it looked like crapola. lol! could have just been the pic though,

I think the new IS looks much better in darker colors... Could be my first black car ever. I've been driving an '07 335i since new and I'm excited about the new IS. Motor Trend says the new IS will come with 60/40 folding rear seats... hallelujah! That's the one option not available on a Lexus that kept sending me back to the Germans... I can finally bring my mountain bike with me inside the car!

Thanks for the clarification about the ride smoothness due to AVS.
It was so funny coz we still have our old '02 Corolla and the ride is smoother than the '12 IS.
Having a smooth ride is underrated even if it's a sport-look-a-like car.
That makes me ask, why would you want a stiff ride anyways? Why is that even appealing?

Do people not care about performance anymore? 99% of the comments are about how the car looks. I find it disappointing that the new IS350 and IS350F-Sport didn't even gain 1 hp over the past few years. Come on Lexus! You couldn't even find an extra 20-30hp for the F Sport version??? I want more power!!!

this could be good or bad. the IS was quite popular as a "girl's car" and maybe that has changed. still... i am trying to convince my wife to get one so i can drive it

I agree. Some people might not want the stigma of a "chick car". Looks like there's no danger of that with the new IS.

Its already faster than 90% of the cars on the road and is plenty of power for me. I honestly didnt really care that it didnt have more power over the current IS350. They shouldve put the 245hp engine from the 06 GS300 in the instead of the IS250. I would only be interested in a 350 anyways.
Therefore, I am constantly at a cross roads as to why I choose cars like this. I actually test drove a 2013 Honda Accord v-6 last weekend. I actually liked it. Power was more than adequate and for 99.9% of my driving the front wheel drive handled off and on ramps fine. Now, could I plow around a turn as fast as my BMW No, but then again that is not normal driving anyways. So, not to get off topic but the IS does not need more power at least not for me. With all the advances in cars today, cars like the Ford Fusion and Honda Accord actually drive pretty darn good and choosing to pay $10-$20k more for an entry level luxuary COMPACT car makes me at least wonder if it is really worth it.
