Saw another Q50 out and about yesterday, I figured out what bothers me about the exterior. The wheels are set too far into the wheel wells. If I would have gone the Q50 route, I'd go with some aftermarket wheels and go maybe just a 1/2 inch wider. I've never been a fan of spacers to push wheels further out, but the Q50 could definitely use some.

I am a member on the forum and when that vid was posted it was hilarious. However, now the Q50's have been driving off the lot and many happy customers.
G8girl you need to test drive one and you'll be sold at how good the cars is.
Personally I have driven the Q50S hybrid RWD and it is wicked fast. The 1 iam buying will be Grey with aluminum interior, with tech package.

Can't say that the new owners of the Q50 are universally happy with missing apps, volume buttons that lag. and preorder people still waiting for their cars while others can walk on a lot and drive away. Then there are the hybrid delays, http://www.infinitiq50.org/forum/new...rid-delay.html too.
The reviews have been puff pieces -- nothing reported from a race track. Lexus introduced the IS on a race track to the media months before the release.
The only piece that really went a little deep into the ride/handling was MT (which he found to be a let down) and the Q50 forum slammed the author for being a BMW fanboy. So it goes. I wish you well with your new car and hope it's all you want it to be. I really do. Happy drivers make my commute easier.

I've test driven both cars. IS has a sportier, edgier exterior that may or may not age well and a so-so interior. Q50 is definitely more conservative on the outside but feels higher quality on the interior. The Q50 feels and drives like a larger, heavier car than the IS, while the IS even in non F-Sport guise handles well. Both are very nice cars and the roads will be littered with them two years from now. The Q50 does have the advantage of offering a hybrid drivetrain which could be a deciding factor if I decide to go Japanese.

Let's meet back in a year and compare notes. As you know the hybrid is delayed. The Q50 looks rather dowdy -- doesn't it? As the Infiniti bread and butter it is a critical car and in trying to expand market share it may be trying to serve too many masters. Let's see how the tech holds up and let's see how people like their touchscreens when they can't see them because the sun is falling on them. Truth be told -- the interior looks too much like a Hyundai for my tastes.

That Hyundai interior IS pretty. I've been in both, prefer the IS interior myself. Some hard plastics here and there that don't bother me. I just wish they put in a bigger screen in there as it would've fit. The IS is also a bit tight inside, so the Q50 would be a better car for larger people.

Me too, but that new Kia Cadenza looks pretty sharp, and I still turn my head when I see a Kia Optima. The world is changing.

It's all in the placement of the screen. I've had the screen placed where it is on the Infiniti & 2IS (Genesis) and where it's placed on the 3IS (Acura). I can assure you the placement of the 3IS (Acura too) is far better.

The Q50 looks yesteryear.
The interior is nice, except for that utterly ugly and useless dual touch screen..
And that 3.7L VQ is no match for the smooth and powerful 2GR-FSE motor in the IS350

The genesis coupe is a beautiful car also. The problem I have with Hyundai is they are crap (well at least they used to be). My first car when I was 16 was a 1994 Hyundai accent sedan. It was the biggest POS money could buy. Almost everything fell apart on that car. I ended up trading it in for a Honda Civic and couldn't have been happier.
