Have you watched the product launch video by Lexus USA ??

It's in a much more convenient location under the lid that slides back or tilts up..

They make some super tiny USB drives now. I've seen some that are the size of the tip of your thumb.

So if IS350 gets the same 8 speed from ISF, will the ecu rev match like ISF then? What about the super ECT that 250 gets?

If the engine information is accurate, I find it a little disappointing that there isn't even a small hp & tq increase. Am I the only one that feels this way? Maybe there will be a mid-cycle engine upgrade w/aesthetic refreshes?

Yes... From what I have heard (through CL) new engines will be coming at the refresh.

this seems to be on par with what mercedes usually does. they will bring out a redesign but carry over the internals until the refresh where they will then bring in the new power plant.

Yes you can. A short one will definitely fit in there.

The only new engine will be the 2AR-FSE for the IS 300h. The 2GR-FSE & 4GR-FSE are essentially carryovers. It was the same way for 4th Gen GS from 3rd Gen GS minus the V8.
