Theophilus Chin has rendered a future 3IS-inspired coupe, which is expected to become the RC coupe in production form by 2015. Development was reported to have started a few weeks ago, with a design freeze likely by the end of this year.
It's one of those "too obvious" renderings. I can't really tell what is so special about it since it's only missing the pair of rear doors and that's about it. That's how BMW used to do coupes, just chop off the rear doors and call it a day. It would be too disappointing if Lexus goes that route. Hopefully it retains some of the edginess of LF-CC
The RC Coupe may well end up as the GS coupe as it will be based on the GS chassis. It just will be called RC instead of GS.
Good point, but if it looks anything like the renderings it looks just like an IS350 with two doors. I guess if it is a GS Coupe the renderings are out the window, although they are close to the concept coupe already shown by Lexus.
I would love to have a coupe (or convertible) with close to the same hauling capacity as the GS sedan. Maybe the LF-LC will be the larger coupe? Who knows.
