IS350...6AT (AWD) or 8AT (RWD)?

Definitely RWD 8AT. Not a fan of the extra gearing but I know it was done for fuel economy purposes.

If your area has tons of ice and snow, getting AWD is a no-brainer.
Not worth sacrificing it to get 8AT but with RWD when the road conditions in your area are really slippery.
I'm voting 6AT (AWD) =)

Since there is rumor of a turbo 4 cyl powerplant for the upcoming IS....how about AWD 4cyl Turbo IS? Now what.

AWD is great, but you lose the fun as it is very planted car then... So in Seattle, I would say RWD... it doesnt snow that much, just put the winter tires on (I used to live in Edmonds).

I hear you on that. If I really want a 3IS in the future, I might have to look out of state for RWD or run into a sales representative here that will help me order one from out of state. Unless the AWD one is really good or I get some super awesome deal on it. I'll have to wait until I hear reviews on RWD and AWD when the car is out and forum members give feedback on them. I also don't like the wheel gap on Lexus' AWD models. Plus there's the gas consumption too.
