Based on the numbers you posted in Post #1...

It's called LKA... Lane Keep Assist. I think it only works with PCS and DRCC.

Thanks, now that I look at that again, looks like that is truly my car and probably many others! If you view the new Lexus IS commercials, they seem to be promoting the white F sport model. Although mine has black interior not red.

A little scary to just have it sitting up there but I'm sure it's in good hands!

Great buy!

Great Question.... It was called Escaine back then, now called Alcantara..

The inserts were black in my car (just odd camera lighting), and had over 114K miles on them when I took these photos
It was also used on the doors..

Alcantara has recently been used in the newer Lexus IS-F and maybe some other Lexus IS models... They do a great job in keeping you in your seat..

Thanks for the information. It is funny how they use pretty much the same materials yet call it different names.

Got some great news! I talked my dealer into letting me pick up the car Saturday before they close! I think they are getting tired of me!

Only a few more days of torture~ ;-)

We've sold a few at our dealership but don't keep them out where others can sit in them or touch them. They are kept upstairs. We have plenty others to show people.

Not sure why Lexus is so hardcase as to allow purchase but deny delivery. What a tease!

Thanks for the pictures. Glad you took that picture that shows the steering wheel adjustment lever. I almost forgot how it looks like.

Escaine was a good seating material on IS300. There is no creases like the leather even when the car is not new and I didn't have to worry that much about scratching due to jeans from passengers ...
