Saw the 3IS Luxury & F Sport at the dealer this afternoon...
Stopped by my dealer this afternoon, they had two 3ISs, a luxury and an F Sport. Both with navigation. My salesman was just walking into a meeting so we set an appointment tomorrow morning for me to come back and sit in them (they were locked) and drive them. Then...of course I had a conflict come up, so long story short I am going to go by Monday afternoon and check them out (I hate to take them away from paying customers on a Saturday)
Both are white, I don't love the exterior in white to be honest. The luxury model was the cream interior while the F Sport was black. As I said, I didn't sit in them but the interior looked nice through the windows. Nowhere near as much space as in the 4GS as we all kind of guessed.
I'll post back in this thread Monday after I have driven them and give you my thoughts.
My dealer posts a tag in the windshield of every car with a "true price", I was surprised to see each of these marked down $1,000. MSRP on the F Sport was $47,500 marked down to $46,700 and the luxury was $46,500 marked down to $45,500.

If the cars were locked and not for sale, I'd be surprised if they honored the "true price" of $1000 less. That would be the best deal we've heard so far for a car not yet for sale.

Yeah, I would have driven it already if it weren't for his meeting! I was surprised about that, and even more surprised about the $1,000 markdown.
The cars were on the lot for sale, they were just locked since they were parked on the lot. No 3IS in the showroom. I've done business with this dealer a long time...if they put that true price on it they will honor it.
If anybody is looking for one and is around DC PM me and I will put you in contact with my salesman.

so lame to expect someone to make a $50k purchase without even trying it!?

Reminds me of when they first introduced the SC430 and wouldn't let customers drive them, but this is not 2001 and it is not a $70k car that was already pre-sold before it hit the dealerships.
