I will be moving to st.louis (I'm in west coast now) and I was wondering if anyone had leased an IS350 AWD (luxury package maybe cause F sport although its sexier but it doesn't have fog lights and seat memory) from there? there are a couple of lexus dealerships in there but not so much sure of the market in Missouri ....

One more thing, I'll be graduating soon and will be holding a job with $100k annual, do you guys think that's a good idea to spend on a car like IS 350 considering my income or I should think of something cheaper at this time?

Cheers

Too bad you can't get the car in CA and bring it to St Louis, the west coast is getting the best deals right now for leasing or buying. The car may cost 3 grand more or so in St Louis. Congratulations on your graduation and nice salary. I don't know what the taxes are in Missouri but Im sure its less than CA. I would think leasing a car of your choice would not be a problem for you.

this is a great deal in my opinion. what lexus dealership did you go to? I see that you are located in nyc as am I. I went to the lexus dealership of queens today. got a quote if i remember correctly
MSRP 49,xxx Negotiated Price 47,xxx .00075 mf (i think) and in the 60s residual. Monthly 515 with 3k down which i am def not doing. Gonna try and haggle the sales price residual and mf more. The guy explained to me that business has been slow and he needs to move metal. BTW insurance on a lease here in nyc is capital murder, just got a quote from geico for 500ish thank God i have USAA.

Default IS350 F-SPORT Lease

I went shopping today for a Lease. Manager came out and was reluctant to give me the Details other then the Sticker Price on Car window. After 2 hours this is what he came up with

My current Car will be paid off. about 16100/- ( Its worth about 17500/- Average on KBB/NADA)

MSRP was about 48800/-
SALE Price : 47000/-
MF : 100
Residual : 28500/-
Payment : 451-452 + Tax => 480$
Startup Cost ( 1st month payment + Doc fee + tittle + registration ) : 1200 - 1400

or

3000/- Down
Payment ( inc Tax): 438 - 441/-

Any Advice.

I have a question regarding leases is you lease it for a longer period of time lets say 27 or 36 months should the monthly payment increase or decrease??

Considering what everyone else has been posting and I've been reading I really got ripped off w/ me deal..::
Ill post up what I got for my is250 once I get the numbers correct..:/
Feel disappointed..:/

It depends on the car and the manufacturer. Every car/manufacturer has a "sweet spot" where they lease the best. For Lexus that traditionally has been 36 months. However, these new 27 month leases seem to be more attractive on the IS and GS. That wasn't the case when I leased my GS in Nov 2012. If you price out a 27 month lease on an ES, LS or RX its actually more...it just depends on the pricing and what the manufacturer's goals are.

Some manufacturers 48 months is a little less, some a little more. The issue with 48 months is whether it will be out of warranty during your lease. You don't want that.

The longer the lease, the lower the RF meaning you pay more on the depreciation part of the lease. That's why the monthly payments don't get cheaper on longer leases. It doesn't work like financing where a longer loan will lower your payments.

Do you guys think I got ripped off?? Sorry a bit new to most terms this is from what I have gathered

This was from Cerritos (Los Angeles) Area Dealer

MSRP: 37.538.00
Sale Price:36.841 i think
On my contract it says gross capitalized price 35801 plus acquisition fee and maintenance agreement it went up to 36841

I'm still not sure what MF stands for when some people say that
My residual value is 24775
10k miles
36 month lease
Monthly payments of 389 including taxes
Started off as 27 months for 352 but they kinda talked me into 36 for 378 plus maintenance for 3 years on synthetic oil change came out to 389 monthly
Was this a good deal???

Ohh and I put 3000 down for amount due at signing

Only additional features was back up camera cargo net trunk mat wheel lock and rear bumper app

MF is the Money Factor, this is used to figure out the finance charge for the lease. A money factor of .001 is equal to a 2.4% interest on the lease
I wouldn't have gotten the maint. agreement, with 10K miles a year lease you would only have to have 2 or 3 oil changes done at the most. Oil changes are every 10K on these cars. That would have saved around $30.00 a month.
To really figure out your lease we need the MF and how much of your payment is taxes.

Thanks for the help...so where would I look up on my contract what my money is exactly or how do I determine that???

I don't think its in your contract, dealer uses the MF in the computer to calculate your payments but doesn't add the calculation to the lease agreement. There should be a total finance charge on the lease agreement, can probably figure it out from there if can find that in the agreement. See if you can find it
