funny you brought that up, you are partially correct. someone did pointed me to this thread but it was not joe. you don't know me too well so please don't assume.
if you have to get technical. title says wheel measurement as well so anything suspension related doesn't belong either. but on a grand scheme of things, i think jennifer was asking to see the new IS lowered, which in my opinion doesn't matter if it's a 200/250/350/300h, a picture of a lowered IS is a picture of a lowered IS.
no rocket science that from factory, hybrid and non-hybrid suspensions are different. but when it comes to aftermarket i haven't much differentiations. if you have to nitpick on performance and "optimal operation", technically just changing the springs without changing the shocks is a bad start already. and it's hard to believe a non-hybrid with 2 passengers in the rear would yield terrible performance.
you have tanabe springs on your gs450h as well. the springs are only listed for gs350/430. the gs450h is 400lb heavier but performing pretty well, didn't seem like a big deal to you

so my point is you are absolutely right about factory suspension difference. but does it become such a big deal especially when talking about aftermarket? not really. at least i am sure for most people they will never come close to noticing the difference.
on the other hand, it also brings up the advantage of coilovers, with the adjustability on height and dampening to account for different weight distribution, driving habits, etc...
it's a fantastic thing for manufacturers to work on both the hybrid and non-hybrid (even if same part number). it's a good thing and that's all i was trying to say in the message. but the notion that it's a hybrid and everything is irrelevant including pictures doesn't make sense.
i am most definitely looking forward to you and vossen sharing your findings like jennifer did. jennifer isn't a pro but you guys are, i am sure a lot of people are waiting for you to share fitment and offset details, just like how i shared with you on sc430.
you are welcome.

All of the lowered ones look amazing. I need coilovers stat, pronto!
Btw, here's a few additional photos just showing the method used to do the measurements, in case anybody was curious how we measured:
Front Caliper to Hub Measurement Method
Hub Measurement Method
Rear Caliper to Hub Measurement Method
Please note: Those hairy old man hands are not mine lol
