Default 2015 350 IS AWD ---F sport or not ?

I just put a deposit on a 2015 non F Sport IS 350 AWD. Sticker is approx $47,400 with just over 4k off, the monthly is $403 for 27/10 with $1700 at signing - Lexus picks up first payment.

MF. .00105 and residual 73%. They do have an F sport and I considering calling and asking for that instead. We have other vehicles and I will not drive it as much as nanny/wife so not sure the F sport is necessary - if i get the same discount will probably be another $25 bucks per month according to my calculations.

So it's going to be either one of those, unless some new stock comes in the next couple months.

I just want to know whether or not the 2014 is a good deal (doesn't have to be a GREAT deal). If not, then I can try and negotiate on the 2015 AWD model.

Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi,

I would go for the 2015 for 2 reasons:

a. Discount on 2014 isn't as great + too much $$$ on extras you don't really need = bad deal
b. AWD - you're in Washington, so AWD will come in handy!

As someone else mentioned before, if you were to get 8-10K off the MSRP for the 2014, then it will be a great deal. Otherwise, stay away from the '14 and focus your negotiation on the '15 AWD.

Either way, keep us posted and let us know how you make out!

Thanks, @lexi90 and @bgaerttner, for your tips and suggestions.

That sounds like a good plan. I'll see if I can negotiate the '14 another $2K off while I also try and negotiating the '15 down to about $44-$45K OTD.

I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks again and for your help!

  • IS 350 (RWD), UW/RR
  • F-Sport Package
  • Blind Sport Monitor
  • VGRS
  • Navi
  • Trunks Mat, Cargo Net, Wheel Locks, Rear Bumper App
  • MSRP: $47,919
  • Price Before TTL: $43,075
  • OTD Price: $46,133

Test drove both the 250 F-Sport and 350 F-Sport and went with the 350. I had a hard time deciding between the ultra white and nebula grey but ended up going with the UW because I fell in love with the color despite knowing it's going to be a PITA to keep clean!
Glad you decided to put some thought in the 350 like I had told you

I just leased one today $49,800 MSRP. 27/10 with $1,850 due at signing for $365 per month.
$5,700 off MSRP.
This started out as $499 per month two days ago before I got dealerhips battling it out for the deal.

$5,700 off MSRP. Had to pick it up today so dealer could qualify for some type of incentive and salseman would get a bonus. Silver lining and black - could have got black on black but already have two black cars.

May i ask why u paid 1850 to reduce the capcost instead of buying MF down? I cant justify why people ever pay so much money upfront to reduce the pmt you couldve used it to lower 0.00024 to 0.00032 of MF. Thats about $25/month. If you multiply by your lease term (27) it sums out to be $675 you are saving and you get your $1850 back once ur lease is up
Your monthly pmt is still gonna be higher than monthly payment you got but your total least cost will be at least $2500 lower than how much you end up paying
You may think you got $5700 discount but only $2850 off after $1850 you paid the dealership
Not here to argue. Just frustrated to see people giving dealership to make more profit than they could have if you used your money wisely and im more than certain that there was no current incentive that wouldve expired after yesterday That was another way of dealership to make you feel desperate to close the deal.
They have first mo payment waiver incentive thruout the whole december

I agree with you on multiple security deposits, but you're missing the fact that the 1850 is probably being applied to fees, taxes, etc - things that will need to be rolled into the lease and will increase the payment accordingly if he doesn't pay them up front. It does look like he got a super deal though, but you're right - pay the money factor down, reduce the payment, and get the deposits back at the end.

Looks like a great deal - does that include sales tax? What is the money factor?

Congrats and enjoy you new IS!

YOU ARE CONFUSED MY FRIEND -- "due at signing" is NOT A CAP COST REDUCTION--- nys sales tax, bank fee, doc fee of 75 and reg. Msd's are not allowed in new york state but then again nor are 500 doc fees which are allowed in ct and nj where msds are allowed . I have done MSDs before and they are a good option but when you lease a car outside of NYS as a NYS resident the REG fees are about $250, you have to deal with the doc fees that the other states are allowed to jack up to offset the MSD savings, and you then have to take the car and get it inspected in New York. The benefit is greatly reduced.

Lexus picked up the first payment. If i wanted to roll eveything into my payment and drive off i would have paid about 415 per month for a $49,800 car

i know what i got and doubt anyone here has received a better deal....
