Price Paid for an IS250/350?
#1696
I just some landed the college grad rebate. The initial cost per month was $350 / 27 month. How did you manage to get it to $302 / month? Can you give me the break down. Thanks! According to the dealer he calculated $327 / month with the military discount ($750). But since we got the college grad rebate ($1000) he's saying it's only going to be $320 / month. Am I missing something here?
Thanks,

Pretty darn good for a special order - congrats - hope the wait's not too long!

Are you saying they won't allow both incentives - just one or the other? If neither incentive is in that 350 number you had in your 11/26 post, you should be under 300 per month if they are gonna honor 1750 in incentives.
At any rate, it sounds like you are close to landing a sweet deal.
Do you have a detailed breakdown of the numbers?

Yeah, the dealership I went to was awesome.
But honestly, you should be able to negotiate a special order as same as a car in the lot. Because at the end, they will have to sell the car anyway if you don't buy it.

Went car shopping today to a few of the dealerships around here. Seems like the IS250 F Sport with UW/RR are selling like hot cakes and I didn't seem to be able to cut too many deals.
IS250 F Sport with Navi, Blind spot monitor, and accessory package
MSRP: 43,499
After TTL: 47,922
The sales guy I was talking to said he could probably sell it to me OTD for the MSRP (43,499) but I feel like this is still higher than what most people are reporting in this thread. Emailed another dealership and we've had some chat back and forth but the lowest I've been able to budge was $42,700...
Is this the best I'm going to see, and is this just because I want the UW/RR combo? Or do you guys think I should hold off and there's more room for negotiation. I wanted a number closer to $40-41,xxx OTD.
This is in SoCal by the way for tax reference.

The lowest I've found with a IS250 FS with BSM and accessory package is $39,900 with tax/fees, which is around 42K OTD.
#1702
Sales tax is 8-9% so out the door on 38k will be more than 40k - ttl in CA is around 11%
#1704
Is $42,700 a good deal, or does it only seem good because of the dealer markup on the MSRP? Should I try to push for something in the low $42k or do you guys think this is the best I'm going to get before they get fed up with me pushing for so much?
#1708
Actually that was very helpful. What was your OTD price if you don't mind me asking? And did you also get a 250 F Sport? I know a lot of people here were able to negotiate because they paid the car flat out but I'm financing and there aren't as many people on this thread financing.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Well i leased the car so didnt pay sales tax upfront so i cant give u the OTD price but with Max MSDs and $1000 college grad incentive for 15k/24
I pay $350 (9% tax included) Yea its fully loaded without illuminated door seal msrp was 43888 got the car for 39100 Could have gotten other colors for $38500-600

Hello all, wanted to tell about my recent purchase experience. This is my 3rd IS as I currently have a 2003 IS300 and a 2008 IS250.
Some tips to share
-Have a target price in mind prior to going. Don't let them dictate the price. I've been reading this thread and was intrigued at Chuongzzz's price OTD of 44,500 for a 2015 350 Fsport w/ Nav. This is exactly what I told the dealerships. Negotiated OTD price from the start
-Know your beacon score and what you qualify for. I saw in this thread where dealerships didn't give 0.9 APR/60 months because they wanted to make additional money. The score you need to qualify for 0.9 is 720. This is through Lexus Financing so every dealership would offer the same. Establish an understanding with your salesman/GM prior to making the deal so they can't pull a fast one on you later on.
-Expand your search to other dealerships within 100 miles. This is what sealed the deal for me. Smaller towns had better prices than big city volume dealerships. Get a price sheet from the the smaller dealerships and ask your big city volume dealership to beat it, not match, but beat it.
Big City Volume Dealer #1 - negotiated down to $46,000 OTD, said I'm crazy at $44,500
Big City Volume Dealer #2 - wanted to beat #1 so negotiated down to $45,900 OTD
Small Town Dealer #1 - initial price of $45,700 OTD, already cheaper than both volume dealers without even negotiating
Small Town Dealer #2 - initial price of $45,070 OTD, already cheaper than all other dealers without even negotiating
Took the lowest price sheet back to my local dealership, the big city volume dealer #1 and they agreed on my original want, $44,500 OTD, that they said they would never do.

Ended up with the following:
2015 Ultra White/Red IS350 F-Sport w/ Nav
47,519 MSRP
-5xxx discount
+tint/nitro
+doc fee, tax, other fees
44,500 price paid w/ 0.9 APR/60 months
Felt like I got a good deal. Also felt like I could have asked for even lower but I just really wanted to have it now. Hope this helps others.

Also, excellent summary on how you went about the process - should help out other shoppers greatly (as long as they come here first, before they purchase)
