Beautiful! Congrats and have fun driving that fine machine!
I suspect they allowed a little extra for your trade so your actual discount could be a bit more than what shows on paper - all in all, a pretty good deal.
I miss NC (spent 12 years or so there while stationed with the Marine Corps).

New owner and member here.
Purchased my 2014 is250 f sport with 10.5k miles for around $37k after negotiating. Obsidian black with red leather.
My previous car was a 2012 wrx and it's a big difference moving into a luxury/lexus. I'll def miss driving the wrx but I'm more than satisfied with my IS!

With only 10.5k miles, it's still a baby.
Enjoy your new ride!

Lol - I spent a few years at New River near Lejeune and the rest of the time at Cherry Point in Havelock. Our house in Havelock cost about 5% of what houses here in CA cost now - those were the days.

I have a neighbor that I met when i moved into my current neighborhood. He moved down from NY. Said he sold his house up there, bought a house in my neighborhood, a house at the beach, and a third house in the mountains for the price he sold his NY home for..
I don't get it either, we don't get massive wild fires or 8ft of snow but our houses sure are cheap! haha

what do you guys think of 41000 OTD for 250 f sport w/nav? doesn't include the 1k new grad i haven't told em about. so technically 40k OTD for 250 f sport w/nav?
another question do dealers tend to give you a better deal for your trade in if you buy new? I have a 08 scion tC with 75k miles in fair-good condition, is 8k trade in a stretch? I saw a couple post back someone with 100k mile 08 mustang getting 12k??? thats a lot for 100k mile car

Obviously they can only give you so much before they really do lose money on the sell but remember high volume dealerships make money on factory incentives. The dealership can sell 100 cars under invoice and still make profit off the incentive check the factory paid them, to sell the 100 cars that month. So yes they are more inclined to pay more trade allowances on new cars for factory incentives than they would be for older vehicles. I will say that in my area though, IS 250/350 had the lowest % markup on dealer cost at around a 6% markup so there wasn't much wiggle room to begin with. There are other dealer fees they make money on as well. there is a transportation fee (imbedded in the MSRP $925.00) they'll say they have to charge that but they can drop it if they really need to make the sell. Other typical fees to lookout for are dealer admin charges or doc fees, window tint fees, and nitro charge fee (this is just a fee to put nitrogen instead of regular compressed air in your tires.) the interior protection charge is just scotch guard you would put on your shoes. and the clear film paint protection they offer can be purchased outside of the dealership for much cheaper. Stick to your guns and remember they have to sell cars to stay in business.. you don't have to buy them...
