There are lot of things you need to know:
a. Negotiate sales price of car - it will determine your payments
b. Know the money factor (MF) - it will also play a role in determining your payment. MF is based on your credit score
c. Never put anything down on a lease - just do the "drive-off" fees (registration, taxes, 1st payment, dealer fees, etc.)
d. You may be able to negotiate the MF and residual value. It all depends on the dealer you're dealing with.
e. Don't purchase any extra warranties or protection plans - they're a rip off!
Always get as many dealers involved as possible. Start with the Internet Sales department. Negotiate, negotiate, and negotiate. Let us know how you do!

In most cases, residual value is set by whoever is funding the lease - in this case, probably Lexus Financial - it is not negotiable. Residual value is based on the term and mileage of the lease.
That said, a higher residual helps lower your payment because it reduces the net amount you pay over the term of the lease.
I recommend educating yourself on the intricacies of leasing before entering into negotiations - otherwise your lease might cost you more than it needs to.

I am need of some help with pricing a 2014 White FSport with Roja IS350 with Navi, BSM, & ML. The car is a cpo with 16k miles.
He has the car listed for 42k. What is a reasonable price to pay? WIll the dealer drop the CPO if I ask them?
This is going to be a weekend car so I do not need the CPO the factory warranty will cover me fine do to my low annual mileage.
Thanks

Hey guys!
I've contacted several dealers in so-cal and here is the best offer for the 2015 IS250 base model (back up camera, truck accessories and rear spoiler):
Monthly Payment with tax: (9%) $233.28/month
Drive off: $1200 (bank fees + title etc)
MSRP: 38,548.00
Negotiated Price: $32,500
Residual: 75%
Money factor: 0.00105
Mileage: 12,000
Lease term: 24 months
No down-payment
I'm really hoping to get the same price monthly with more miles...15,000 instead. What does everyone think about the deal?? Sounds good right?

If not, I agree that looks to be a great deal.
A Honda civic as someone mentioned is $199/mo lol
