Thanks I might do that for fun but most likely just wait til the lease is up.
You could probably get a good idea of what your car's actual cash trade in value is by making a short visit to Carmax - that way you know exactly where you stand at this point. You are right about having negative equity but who knows - you might catch a dealer at just the right time and cut a good deal that takes a little of the sting out. Also, you sound like a good candidate for a shorter term lease - because of the higher residual (73%), the payment on your cited deal is about the same (465 incl tax) for a 24 month lease.

You didn't mention the msrp - in CA, the selling price ( cap cost) should've been around 12-15% off msrp. If your credit is decent, the money factor should've been around .0009. For your next lease, don't put any more than first payment and dmv fees up front - use the extra money above that for multiple security deposits which will dramatically reduce your money factor, and consequently, your payment. At the end of the lease you get your deposits back (pending any excess mileage or damage). Also, consider a 24 month lease - with the higher residual (73%), your payment would be the same or less than the 36 month term.

Thanks for the reply, the MSRP was $44,343. I was relying off of truecar values and **thought** I did good. My fico score is 792. But I guess that's a moot point now seeing how I don't think I can get them to amend the lease for a lower money factor. God I hate car buying.

Yeah - car buying/leasing can be a pain because they make such a cat and mouse game out of it. But you still got a decent chunk off the msrp so don't fret - these cars are great and you and your wife will love it. And now that you have found Club Lexus, there is a wealth of information and knowledge here that you can draw on to help make your experience with your new car even more enjoyable. By the time your next lease or purchase rolls around, you'll be a expert.

From what I understand, Lexus Finance will not negotiate buyout pricing. You're probably better off not buying out a current Lexus lease these days anyway because the residuals are a bit artificially inflated.

All that matters is you love the car --- next time, I would say you can most definitely do better. Especially because it appears on here the market in CA is saturated with dealers so I've seen people posting crazy good deals (far better than what I got).
I leased a 2015 IS-250 F Sport in November during the December-to-Remember event. MSRP was $44,512 including, BSM, backup, nav, spoiler, door sills, and a couple other things. I did a 24 month lease with 12k miles per year ... I only paid the TTL + fees up front which came to a just around $1,000 ... (acquisition fee was either $550 or $650 alone). Monthly payment is $412 after tax. They also paid my first payment for me because of the DTR event.
