Price Paid for an IS250/350?
#2116
Hi all,
I'm getting out of a lease early on my 2013 Nissan Sentra SV and in to a 2015 IS 350 F Sport. It's an under-water lease, and Lexus is buying out the car for resale, and rolling the deficit in to my payments. I was able to negotiate the trade-in value up a bit and the MSRP down considerably. I've put down a deposit but haven't signed the deal yet. Below are the details.
2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport AWD
Exterior: Silver Lining Metallic
Interior: Black
Luxury Pkg
Nav System Pkg
Preferred Accessory Pkg
Parking Assist / Heated Steering Wheel / Radar Cruise Ctrl / All-weather floor mats
36/12k Lease
MSRP: $50,625, negotiated down to $46,507
Buying out my current leased car for $13,772 and giving me $11,750 for the trade-in ($2,022 deficit)
Residual 63% ($31,894)
Money Factor 0.00100 (2.4% APR)
$800 drive-off cost incl. tax/title/first mo. payment, etc.
$583.66/mo.
Thoughts? Does this sound like a decent deal, especially considering I'm getting out of an under-water lease that's not even half-completed?
Thanks!
Curt

First post of the forum:
I've been quoted:
$44,000 before T&L at Cerritos Lexus
$43,330 before T&L at Keyes in Van Nuys
IS350 F-Sport with Nav + ML System, Blind spot monitor, basically fully loaded.

And it's not fully loaded, there are several more options that these cars can have that you didn't list.

Just kidding.
Thanks for the offer - I'm sure there's some folks here that will take you up on it.

2015 Lexus IS 350 AWD
MSRP - $47,480
Exterior: Atomic Silver
Interior: Black
Premium Pkg
Nav System Pkg
Preferred Accessory Pkg
BSM/RCT
Got about 5% out the door from MSRP, didn't do too great tbh. Only reason I did it was because I got fairly good trade-in value for my 2014 Lexus IS250 relative to other places, which was in an accident with frame damage.
Also, went to check out a 2014 IS350 F Sport(MSRP $48,803) but the battery was dead and had to be replaced and they were still asking for a lot. It was pretty absurd.

First, I want to thank everyone on this forum for sharing their experiences, expertise, and positive and negative feedbacks. I have learned a lot about leasing from all of you!
New member to this forum, 1st post on this forum, 1st time leasing a car, 1st time customer with Lexus.
After a lot of reading, I started my shopping process by emailing every internet manager for every lexus dealership in SF bay area, Norcal, and a few in Socal. I did a simple “google” search, looked under the “meet us” section and started sending out emails. If I wasn’t able to find their emails, I just left a message under the “contact us” section, stating I’m looking for a 2015 Lexus IS 350 f sport, ML audio/navi, blind spot, floor mats, trunk net, wheel locks.
Here’s what I got from emails and phone conversations. I know verbal quotes don’t mean ****** but it was a start. All prices before tax, title, license fees. I was looking for 10-15% off msrp.
Freeman, Valley, Fresno, Bakersfield, Concord, Monterey: no response
Redwood city: $43055 (phone)
Marin: 4K off msrp (email)
Pleasanton: 4K off msrp (email)
Oakland: won’t send prices via email. Don’t know why
Roseville: $44795 (email)
Sacramento: $43935 (email)
SJ: $45755 (email)
Fremont: $4K off msrp (email)
Glendale: $45000 (email)
Keyes Van Nuys: 4K off msrp (email)
Longo: $44500 (phone)
Santa Barbara: $44895 (email)
So here is my deal: I decide to go to Putnam lexus because of the $43055 quote over the phone. 36 month/36K miles.
Selling price: $43055.
Residual: 63%=30655
MF: .00018 (max 9 MSD’s)
Drive off: $998
MSD: $3375
Doc fee: $80, Acq Fee: $700, License fee: $393
Rebates/Incentives: $1000 new grad + $500 Lexus IS 250/350
Monthly Payment: $363 with tax (Cali 9%) x 35 months
Took delivery yesterday on my black on black 2015 Lexus IS 350 F sport, ML audio/navi, blind spot, tint windows, trunk net, floor mats, wheel locks.
What do you guys think? What could I have done better? What areas can I improve in for the next lease? Thanks again everyone!

I was quoted from Cerrito's, Bev Hill's and Santa Monica for a Silver Lining 15 350 RWD F, BSM, Mark/Nav, Spoiler, Acc Package $42,900 on first try 3 months ago. MSRP was right around $49K. I know I could've gotten it cheaper but purchased local in WA for 43,895 in Atomic.

Great that you also got to use the new grad additional discount and took advantage of MSD's.
Putnam is where I got my deal from as well. They should know how to do MSD transactions now since I was the 1st to start it with them.

Fully loaded brand new '15 IS 250, $46k manufacturer window sticker
drove off with only $1000 down, $449 month.
feel good about it, seems like a good deal to me. took some back and forth but got there.
this is my secondary car for the wife and baby.

Adding more info to previous post
Msrp=$48659
Residual was 63% for 36 month. 12k mile/ year=36 k miles total.
MF= .00018.
Credit score close to 800.
Residual of 63% for April was confirmed by Santa Barbara and Longo.
thanks!

I think this is a great deal considering 63% residual and higher MF (but this depends on credit). I'm assuming lease deal is with 15k mpy? Or did the residual decrease and MF increase for April? Also, what is the MSRP including desti?

You did very well and should be proud of your deal - I think it's probably in the top 5-10% of the 3IS deals posted on this forum.

Yes, none-the-less, you did still got a great deal!
