Need some advice on purchasing my first Lexus!

Location: Northern California
2014 IS250 F-Sport RWD (CPO)
Ultra White / Black
8k Miles
Excellent condition, no major damage

It is currently listed at $39.2k

Options
Navigation Package
Backup Camera
Blind Spot Monitoring

MSRP roughly $43.5k

What would you say is a great price that is attainable? What would you say is a fair price?

This is the first time I am shopping for a used car, so I am trying to get as much feedback as possible.

I'm not 100% sure without looking through all the paperwork at home. There are a lot of different little fees. I just rounded off the number to $1000 ($500 rebate, and $500 cash) to make it easy. It's very possible the DMV fees were less than what I paid leaving the remaining as a cap reduction.
Which dealership was this at?

You're probably missing the:
  • F Sport Exhaust
  • Illuminated Door Sills
  • Power Rear Sunshade
  • VGRS
  • Rear Spoiler
  • Radar Cruise w/ Pre Collision

It sounds like you got a good deal, I am not familiar with leases though.

I'm thinking mid to low 30's (start off in low 30's) as some buyers here in NorCal are able to get close to $6k off MSRP on new 2015's with same options.

I'm looking at a used 2015 Lexus IS 350 with the following options:

Nebula Grey with Roja Red Interior
F-Sport
Navigation
Backup Camera
Blind-Spot Detector

The lowest the dealer would go for this is $39750 before TTL. Is this a fair price for a used 350 with 12k miles?

Sounds like a fair price - does it have the ML stereo? If so, msrp would've been around 49k.

It doesn't have the ML stereo. It does have this weird thing installed under the push to start button. I have no clue what it is and neither does the dealer. I don't know if it voids the warranty either.

Looks like some sort of alarm system? I'd be wary of it if the dealer can't confirm what the heck it is.
If you don't know what it is, it will be very difficult to resolve any issues that might arise in the future. It does look like something that has possibly been wired in and if that's the case, I'd want to know ALL that I could find out about it before plunking down $40k.
