Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new IS.
Like azmojo said, can't really pinpoint the quality of the deal without having all the details of your trade vehicle, but it seems they allowed you a fair trade value. Let me ask this - was the $1k college rebate in addition to the $5.1k discount? If so, you are at 13% off msrp, or about 2600 under invoice which is a pretty good deal. If the 5100 included the college rebate, then you're at 11% off msrp and around 1600 below invoice - still a pretty good deal in my opinion but not quite as sweet.
At any rate, you got yourself a great car at a pretty good price - now it's time to enjoy it!

I went to the dealer on the very last day of the month.

I intentionally priced a V6 to see if maybe they tried to lowball you - the fact that it's an I4 further indicates they were fair with you on the trade. Smart move doing the deal at the end of the month.

Just scanned through the forums. In process of purchasing an IS350 F Sport... realized most of you guys are leasing the vehicle rather than buying it... I was going to just buy a used 2014.. maybe a used 2015 if they show up towards the end of the year...
Any advice regarding the lease vs purchase and if I should wait for a 2015? Thank you!

Used vs new (or lease) is that used your only choice is what you find available for sale (not a lot of choice usually) vs. new you get one equipped how you want and the color you want. And if a used car is $x000 cheaper, is it really worth the savings for the extra year or years in age, the extra maintenance, less warranty, etc.?

hello,
this is an incredible deal!!!!
i've been looking at the 2015 infiniti q50 awd base without any options and i'm coming up with payments around 300-350 with 9 MSD's. this is including tax. okatkiki, does your monthly payment include taxes as well? if not it is still a great deal. i'm glad i saw this before i pulled the trigger on the q50.
i see you got almost 12% off MSRP. i'm in new jersey. anyone in ny/nj buy or lease a 2015 IS350 awd fsport recently and if so how much off MSRP were you able to negotiate? i'm looking at one for $47,669 at a dealership. would $42,000 as a selling price be reasonable or is this too low? i'm looking to lease within the next week or so. i'm coming off a lease at the end of the month.
also, just want to confirm the numbers for June:
.00090 MF
24/10k is 72%
24/12k is 71%
i calculate okatkiki's residual at 70%. is 27/10k at this rate?
my scenario:
MSRP $47,669
Negotiated Selling Price $42,000?
Rebate: $500
Term: 24months/10k
Residual at 72%: $34,322
Money Factor: .00001 (7 MSD's put down, total of $2450, which I will get all back at the end of lease)
Monthly Payment: $320.02/month including taxes (NJ 7%).
are my calculations correct and if so what do you guys think, is this possible?
thanks again.

I was wondering if anyone can explain why they would have a $500 incentive for a lease but not for a purchase? My belief is that in a lease the car dealer sells the car to the leasing company (in this case LFS) who technically owns the car and basically rents it to you. So how/why does it make sense for corporate Lexus to incentivize leases for $500 but not purchases, or is this money perhaps actually coming from LFS as they have decided to make $500 less on each deal?

If you have the funds available then this i believe is the best way to lease luxury cars and i think the best way to utilize this is by putting down the max amount on the multiple security deposits (MSD). anything less then you may want to think about it. i just saw that the max amount of MSD's lexus allows is 9.
There are some other threads on clublexus that discuss MSD's. Just search "multiple security deposits".

First post, glad came across this thread.
Looking to purchase my first lexus and was looking for some help. I am up in WA and saw limited information for this, where as CA was having ridiculous deals.
Saw one IS250 F sport on the lot with the following config..
Neb gray, black interior, AWD, blind spot monitor, backup monitor, accessory package
MSRP $44,239
Invoice $41,100 (according to edmunds)
What do you guys think is a reasonable starting offer I should make? I qualify for the college grad program which I plan to inform them after we come in agreement with a price.
Thanks!
