Price Paid for an IS250/350?
#2476
Hello all,
Going to meet with a dealer tomorrow. I've received an offer from another dealer. 2015 IS 350 F Sport. I'm purchasing and putting almost half MSRP down.
MSRP $49,548.00
Selling price $43,274.00
OTD price was $47,459.07
I've seen a couple better deals than this, but not too many in Southern California... and I'm Southern California.
Is this a good deal or can we do better?

Just came back from Keyes in Van Nuys. Wasn't expecting to do more than just test drive, and ended up putting a deposit down on a White on red IS350 F they are getting sometime this week.
Car is around invoice and did decent for the lease based on my screwy credit.

Just to be sure you're getting a halfway decent deal, I recommend you shoot an email to some other dealers' Internet Mgrs to see what comes back. If your credit score is an issue, they are going to jack the money factor and you'll be paying more for your lease. One way to mitigate that is to get an aggressive discount off msrp. Invoice is only 6-7% off msrp - SoCal deals are routinely 10-15% off msrp.

At almost 13% off msrp, that's a decent deal on a well equipped IS. Are you reaching out to ALL the dealers in SoCal? There are many and you can usually get some good competition going if they sense you are a serious buyer who is well informed and shopping around. Who knows - with the 2016s right around the corner, you might be able to squeeze another 1-2% discount.
Let us know how it goes.

Depending on how far you are willing to travel, you could expand your shopping area - I'm in Orange County and we found our last deal in Escondido. Azmojo is in AZ and has had success in SoCal. Are you under a time constraint? Deals on 2015s will most likely become more aggressive in Sep.
At any rate, you already have an offer more than $6k off msrp - that's pretty darn good.

Is it true car OTD price in california, Los Angeles area, is 10.25% of the sale price? I know 9% is the tax, but no idea what the other 1.25% is. possibly registration fee?

Was only able to squeeze out a few hundred more on the selling price, fine for me, lowered the monthly payment by a few bucks.
Is there anything else I should be aware of as far as maintenance or service or protectants that I should purchase with the car or that are cheaper to do it myself?

Hello...have been following for some time as my wife currently has an '09 IS250 AWD that we are handing down to our daughter. We are now looking to get a new 2015 IS350 F-Sport AWD. After talking with the dealer today, I was looking for your opinions on the the lease offer we received. Reading through this thread, it seems like "good deals" vary greatly depending on your state. The following is our proposal:
48 month lease, 15K miles/year, $0 Down
MSRP: $49,963.00
Initial Cap Cost (Negotiated): $47,000.00
Residual: $25,981.00 (52%)
1st Payment, Dealer Fees, TTL: $1,972.00
Rebates: -$1,070.00
Adjusted Cap: $49,666.00 (on paperwork) ??
Believe Adjusted Cap should be: $47,902.00
Money Factor: .001 (2.4%)
Sales Tax: 7.125%
Monthly Payment: $569.00
As noted above, I'm confused by the adjusted cap cost on the proposal. Does this look right to you guys? Also, just looking for opinions on this deal...fair, good, great? I've always been told you never want to put money down when leasing...do you agree? Finally, I've never heard of MSD's being used in Minnesota. Does anybody know if they can be used here?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and opinions...they are greatly appreciated!

As a fellow Minnesotan, I tried to strike a "California" type deal (buying) between the only two Lexus dealers in the state.... Which, by the way, have the same ownership.
California buyer's on this board are landing awesome discounts!... And, although you'll never get 13% or 14% off retail from the only two dealers in MN, you can negotiate to about 11% (with rebates) and do better than the 8% indicated above.
I'm just gonna wait till later in the Summer/Fall to acquire a 2015.... Perhaps better deals await. If not, 11% off is good 'nuff for 'round here.
And, yes, MSD's can be used in MN.... BTW, a 48 month term may not be the best lease value.

Do I understand your figures correctly? You are putting no cash up front, rolling all fees into the lease, and have a $1070 rebate being applied to the lease?

Agree with Crew - discount needs to be better and if your credit score is decent, they should be able to do better on the money factor. MSDs would also lower the money factor significantly.
