Interesting...by the numbers a 18x9.5 +38 rim should be hitting the steering knuckle...but once again, like tires, not everything is created equal.
I have an 18x9.5 +38 rim here...I'm gonna test fit it to see if it clears...when mt car isn't covered in snow! lol
In reality the 9.5 is a measurement between the area of the rim the tire beads sit on...so beyond that, there is still the rim flange.
The rim flange is usually around 0.5 inches thick...so a 9.5 inch rim, in total physical width, is actually closer to 10.5 inches.
Let's just say the rim is maybe 9.4 inches, bead to bead, and the flanges are a little thinner at 0.4 inches, all of a sudden you have 0.2 inches of more clearance...which equals about +5 offset.
So a +38 offset now drops to about +33 just like that.
Good job getting everything to fit and looking great!

Not exactly "right now", but we had a pretty foggy night recently.

Cool Last photo of 2019...?

I took today off from work, did some chores, ... then, I got bored and decided to take a spirited drive on some farm roads north of where I live. It was a good idea! I had to remind myself how nice this car feels going around some corners.

Default 2016 IS200t Fsport on 20's

Its a work min progress but I will get it there! So far, I have the brakes G'd up, cross drilled & slotted rotors w/ ceramic pads, 20x8.5 w/ 225-35-ZR20 FR & 20x10 w/ 255-35-20 RR, Winjet fog light kit and 12" subs in the trunk. On the way, I have the carbon front splitter lip and side skirts. I will add a cold air intake, exhaust w/ downpipe and a chip if the ECU hack doesnt come through first. I love this car but I wish it had more off the line.

Not much change, just clay bar, compound, wax, and sealant.
