You guys aren't going to believe this, but I am back to the 3IS club, officially. After much contemplation, haggling, agonizing, waiting, you name it... My wife and I decided to go for this 2021 IS 350 F Sport. It's Iridium with a Flare Circuit Red interior. I'd have more pictures if not for the rain that was starting as we were wrapping up delivery. Feels great to be back!

In some ways, yes. I was really underselling the things I remembered about my former IS that I liked - the seats, steering wheel, and just overall driving position. It feels so natural yet sporty.
I just went for a little night drive, and, while it's not broken-in yet, I was able to find a nice tight road to do some turns in. This thing handles those transitions like a champ! I think it feels even more confident and stable than my old IS 300.

Trust me, I have the same issue because of my smaller frame although unlike you, I shave my hair really short because I am going thin on top! Congrats on your IS, it looks great and I am happy that you are back in the fold....I am happy to be back with the IS too!
Super happy with my wheel & tire setup, which was installed today. The 225/40/18's front tires in the brand/model I wanted were backordered indefinitely, & our family vacation is scheduled for early August, so I bit the bullet on some aftermarket wheels. I was initially going to order some 18x9.5 +38 wheels from CANADA (Sasnuke's 18x9.5 rear wheels, but for a square setup) until I saw what the duty fee's were going to be, then I was looking at some Konig Freeforms in 18x9.5 +35 in radium bronze ( they look similar to F-sport wheels, but are much lighter, and bronze), but apparently they wouldn't clear my calipers, then, after a week of being super frustrated, I stumbled across (aka. googled for the millionth time 18x9 +35) these Motegis in 18x9 and They are exactly what I wanted. Flow formed, 18x9 +35, 19.36lbs each (vs. 28lbs F & 28.2lbs R for the F-sport wheels) & 5-spoke. Once I confirmed they would fit & clear, I placed that darn order. I'll put this info in the wheel/tire section as well, but for now, here are the specs & photos.
Car: 2015 IS350 F-Sport RWD
Wheels: 18x9 +35 Motegi MR131 "matte Bronze" (square)
Tires: 255/35R18 General Gmax RS (Square)
Suspension: Stock (AFAIK)
Hub rings: Yes, aluminum 72.6 to 60.1
Lugnuts: Gorilla Automotive 21133ETBC Black 12x1.5 - wish I could get some in a similar matte bronze, or matador red mica, but black works with this setup
No rubbing, Ever. Not at full lock, not when the trunk it loaded & my 6yo & 6mo are in the back seat, not when going at 8/10ths on the backroads; it's perfection.
Next mod is some mudguards/mudflaps as sticky wide tires = FU PAINT!
When I take measurements this weekend I'll make the decision about the next set of tires; I played it "safe" this time around, I do think a 265/35R18 will fit in the front, if my measurements indicate that is the case, then after this set is worn, I'll go wider. I'm super happy that I managed to lose 10lbs+ each side up front of unsprung weight, and 15lbs+ each side in the rear over the stock setup. Steering is so responsive & more immediate; I pounded it through my "proving grounds" this evening and there is a noticeable increase in front end grip & my exit speed; can't believe such a heavy car can handle like this.
LCA bushings are next though, I could feel the front end squirming around & squishing/squatting, also a LSD, putting the power down on corner exit can be improved significantly a far as I & my right foot can tell. Drivers 3/4 Right after I got it home, dirty car; wheels & tires have mounting lube on them, but I wanted the photos & won't be able to properly clean the car until this weekend. Wheels are 18x9 +35 Motegi MR131's in matte bronze. Tires are General Gmax RS 255/35R18 SQUARE SETUP. I saved 10lbs+ each in the front, and 15lbs+ each in the rear in unsprung weight, for a total of over 50lbs+ of unsprung weight reduction. Passenger side 3/4, this is what I first saw right after they were mounted, needless to say I was impressed with how it looks. "Flush" fitment (not "hella flush"), maybe 3-5mm sunk in, will measure this weekend when I have time. I'd be comfortable going 265/35R18 on the next set with a mild spacer (3-5mm) based on where things landed & measurements, I always err on the side of caution with online calculated, real world measurements, & manufacturing tolerances.
