Yeah my only experience with Lexus of Silver Spring was back in 2003 when they mistakenly ordered the wrong color interior ES for me. I did buy our Jeep at Darcars Jeep right next door (Darcars also owns Lexus of Silver Spring) and was very satisfied.

If you need a referral for a good independent Lexus mechanic for after the freebies I have a great one in Rockville. He was a master tech at Lexus of Silver Spring for 15 years.

Oh man, a wrong custom order would make me furious if I had waited 3 months for it. Thankfully, no such issues this time around for me.

As for the Lexus mechanic, that would be great to know. I'm never sure who to trust!

Luckily it wasn't a custom order, it was an allocation. I had been negotiating with two dealers and the one that was slightly more saw that SS was telling me they could get a car that they could not, so they held the car they had for me knowing id be back. They were pretty accommodating and offered to split the difference with me, that was Annapolis. Luckily I only waited about 2 weeks.

Anybody know how long you have to wait once your car get to port?

I've heard reports anywhere between 10-20 days. Probably depends on a bunch of factors: distance to port, # of cars they have to prep, how many port installed options are on your car, etc.
