Default Looking to get an IS oct/nov - order or wait?

My wife and I test drove a 250awd luxury, 350awd luxury and a 350awd f sport on Friday. Phenomenal cars - we also are looking at Acura TL awd and BMW 328xi. I'm 99% convinced the wife will choose the Lexus. We will be ready between 10/15 and 11/15 to get a new car.

Based on the lead times on ordered cars, and expected availability of inventory 3 to 4 months out, how should I proceed?

We will want the 350 f sport in matador red with black interior and nav. I we wait and roll the dice I'm thinking we may be able to get a better price - that being said I don't want to realize later that I should ha e ordered one now.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If that is all you want for options then you will probably be 3-4 months out for a special order. Pricing should come down slightly as far as negotiations go but is it worth your waiting time vs the money saved. Only you can make that decision.
You will be possibly be next Feb by the time you take delivery if ordered Oct/Nov.

If you're willing to be flexible on any other options/cost that may come with the nav for the color combo you want, then your chances are good to wait and buy in Oct/November. If not, I'd place my order now.

How much flexibility is needed when the only option available is adaptive cruise control and a couple of other things. There just aren't that many options in USA.

So I emailed the dealer and asked - the response was "your in luck I have one coming in end of month!". Lol. Guess he's not much for reading the details. I reiterated in response that I needed a few months. We shall see what response I get.
