Yeah, I looked in the manual but could not figure out a way to turn that off. Is it possible for the car to remain on when you enter the vehicle?
This is my biggest gripe about having a remote start with my '14 IS350 as well...I wish it were smart enough to do something like the non-push to start vehicles where if you push on the brake to put it into gear and the key is not detected by the car, then it shuts the engine off. If the key is detected, then it will let you put it into gear and drive away. I don't know if the remote start is smart enough to be able to do this though.
I had the Compustar installed installed 2wks a go. Yup I hate that it shuts off when you open the door but not much I can do about it, I love that I can start it from the 6th floor of my office.
your first mistake was bringing your car to the dealer to have a crappy oem remote start installed. should have done some research and brought it to a shop that specializes in remote stars. I did the remote start in my 14 is350 with nav and paired it with a viper 5706V and a directed dball3 canbus bypass. check out www.directechs.com . you have many options for a remote start these days
unfortunately i don't but i advise you to really do some research on a good car audio shop. search google and look through photos of their stereo installs and jobs they have done. This will give you an idea of work ethic. Trust me, you don't want a non reputable company installing something as intracite as a remote start on your vehicle. i consider my self an above average installer and take pride in my work. here's a remote start i before and after i pre wired it and got it ready for installation

can you add the links required for all parts, I'm not electric parts savvy so I will try to get the manuals and check if any good shop can install it.
what are the features you're looking for? you may want to call around and see what brands the shop installs. you don't want to bring a directed product to a shop that only installs compustar since installation varies. typically i recommend getting a remote start with 1 mile range and two way. you also have the option of using the directed smart start app and control everything from your phone
Hey all. I've noticed a lot of discussion about the factory remote starter and how expensive it is from the dealer.
Since there's no way around the security shut-off after you open the doors, does anyone have suggestions on a better cheaper aftermarket remote starter? There's so much info out there and I'd rather get the 411 from actual owners.
thanks guys
