IS 350 ... To F-Sport or Not
I have a big dilemma here. I want the 350 but cant decide if I want the F-Sport or not. I am in love with the exterior of the F-Sport (bumper, grill, wheels) but I am not sure if I'm sold on the LFA gauge, sport tuned suspension, etc. I like the non Fsport because of the availability of leather, classic instrument gauge, and availability of Atomic Silver color (also considering white). I have driven a non Fsport 350 but have not driven the F-sport. Is there a big difference?? I considered the option of swapping the bumper/grill of the non Fsport for the Fsport but that would be very expensive. Any thoughts, suggestions, opinions, or perspectives? Thanks

IMO, the biggest draw of the F-sport is the suspension and the gauges. If you're not sold on those, I'd say save your money. The wheels can always be swapped out afterwards so really you'd only be paying for the grille, and you lose out on other things you like.

Hopefully you'll get a chance to test drive the F-Sport model before making that firm decision. From reading your post, it sounds like you prefer the more luxury, conservative style of the normal IS than the sportier in-your-face F-Sport model. That's definitely why Lexus offers two versions to choose from. Good luck on your decision!

I see what you're saying, but this wouldn't be much of a dilemma for me.
If I were getting an IS350, it would be the non-F Sport model in Atomic Silver/Flaxen with Luxury and Navi/ML packages.
Talk about a luxurious looking/feeling, but still sporty, all-around great car!

F-sport makes a world of a difference especially the transmission. If the f-sport falls in your budget hands down I would get it. Suspension is nice a stiff, seats hold you in a lot more feels like my recaro sports I have in another car.
If you factor bumper and grill + paint. run you roughly 3k(dealer price)
If you can find a place to test drive the 350 fsport would be the best test.

Agreed, and it's unfortunate. I think the non f-sport is one of the ugliest cars in Lexus line up. Sadly the F-Sport is one of the worse optioned ones

Richie, did I miss something? The Fsport has 4 driving modes? ECO/NORMAL/SPORT/SPORT +? If so I gotta start reading the owners manual.

Thanks Richie. I'm at work so I can't look it up but Eco left makes sense. But then you have me turning the *** to the left but that's the same action as for Eco mode unless you mean hold the **** down and turn left for sport mode. Also when I turn the **** to the right the dash displays the white sport mode ring -- you're certain it need s to be turned to the right 2x from normal?
