Thumbs up The seats in the 3IS F-sport.......Amazingly well done

Might be the best Lexus seats short of the LFA...... I can't believe how good the nu-luxe is and the seats seemingly conform to your body. I'm big, 6'5, 250 and they are amazing. I just wish there was a leg extension.

You really sit into the seat, not on it. Really well done Lexus.

Completely agree. I thought Acura TL had the best seats -- and they are really good ones -- but these are better imo.

Default seats

I have a 2013 gs and the seats are really comfortable. If the IS is anything like it I would
agree.

By the way does anyone out there know about the problems with the new 2014 IS nav system?
I'm trying to buy one but they won't release any with the nav option.

Check my signature Sorry I find the 3IS F-sport seats comfier and they just "fit" and conform better, even as the GS has more adjustments. I do like the leg extenders on the GS. Mind you the GS F-sport seat is superb as well.

The seats are one of the things that sold us on the IS F-Sport. The first thing my wife mentioned when she sat in the car for the first time were how the seats just fit you so perfectly. We briefly considered the GS and thought those seats were fantastic...until we sat in the IS.

the F Sport seat support was real nice. Feels like a set of clamps holding you in, very supportive

Are you the same Mike that used to run Team Pro Lex?

I have to agree as well not sure why but I prefer the nuluxe over actual leather in BMW and MB.
From what I learned at a training class with Lexus Canada they used to wrap the nuluxe on top of the foam but now they have the nuluxe in place and inject it into the nuluxe creating a better supporting seat

Yes seats are really like sport seats. Was between a 335i or IS but im getting the IS and save the extra 10k thatthe bmw costs.

With lexus im just missing the front/back sensors, HUD, rain sense wipers, triple turn signal. Oh well ill live without them. Just really wanted front/back sensors but none of these are in the f sport packages

IS has Triple turn signal. I think most owners don't know this but lightly touching turn signal will blink 3 times and turn off by itself. You can even change it to 7 times but must be done at dealer.

You don't need HUD. TFT LCD can show more stuff than BMW HUD and not as distracting.

I do wish parking sensors were available on F-Sport.

One item IS has that BMW doesn't and I find this a lot more valuable. Rear cross traffic alert is very cool. very accurate and can even warn for pedestrians, Lexus menu said it doesn't but I've had occasion it goes off with people walking by.

This can be changed within the car settings option in the menu system. At least on mine with Nav I can change this myself.
