Here's an article on what the party looks like.

https://www.clublexus.com/articles/i...s-in-style.php

People on here talking like your car is going to get scratch. I doubt it. Probably nothing worse than some guy eating some greasy hour'derves then putting those greasy hands on your seats and steering wheel. No bigee, will wipe right off.

I do not see an issue with letting the dealer borrow the car for the night as they will be responsible for it and if anything were to happen you can demand a new one. I would demand an invitation to the party though as it would be cool to see your own car as the "Belle of the Ball".

They offered free scheduled maintenance for the base warranty of the car. ( all oil changes and air filters, etc)

Probably will be worth saving me a few hundred bucks.

My dealer asked if they could use my car on display at a tennis tournment prior to me picking it up. At first I was very reluctant, I didn't want people touching or sitting in my car either... but then I saw the "display" and it made for a really neat story. Needless to say, I still inspected every inch of it.

I don't have it in writing yet... but when I pick up the car Saturday morning and "close" the deal and sign the final docs, I certainly will get it in writing.

Thanks for the heads up, I would have just assumed his word was good.

I don't know if they will give me 12 oil changes, but whenever the "scheduled maintenance" is due.

Realistically id say ill get 4-5 oil changes, I assume the car will go 7-10K miles between changes.

4 years with 3 oil changes every 5k miles, 15k miles a year. Unless theyve moved to a higher interval

The 3IS scheduled maintenance only recommends oil changes every 10k miles. The 2IS (even though it's the same motor) was every 5k miles. The 2IS and 3IS also use a different weight oil. The 3IS manual allows for additional changes at the 5k mile-marks if the car is driven under certain conditions (frequency short trips in cold weather, dusty roads, etc.) So although the 3IS still has service intervals every 5k miles, the ones at 5k, 15k, 25k, etc. are pretty much just "fluff" and a way for the dealerships to make money road-testing the car, checking bolts, topping off fluids, and rotating tires (which isn't possible if you have different size tires).
