Yeah I noticed it when I was looking at the JX35 last week, the new 2014s are branded QX60 and the 3.5 is on the fenders. Reminds me of old Subarus and things like that...
The new naming scheme doesn't allow for the engine size to be reflected in the model name...I think their whole decision to change the way they name their models is just stupid in general...

Engine size emblem is tacky. Reminds me of the Chevy Celebrity/Pontiac 6000/Buick Century with the 2.8 or 3.1 "Multi-port Fuel Injection" emblem on their side fenders near the headlight, or like some of the recent Mazdas. Not expected from a Japanese luxury brand - sad.
(Sadly, they're calling for T-storms/lightning tomorrow afternoon when I pick up the car. I sure did jinx myself... )

That's beautiful. The Universe has a sense of poetry and a sense of humor -- delivering lightning on the day you pick up "The Lightening"! Good thing you didn't name it "The Lightening Strikes". In keep with God's poetic genius and sense of humor -- you might not make it home. Your USB would then stand for Unbelievably Scorched Black.

Whats another odd decision is the fender does have a 3.7 badge on the sides. Yet they stated themselves they went with this name system as that didn't matter. That reminds me to remove it.
