Do the IS250's 18" rims fit the IS350?
Hello all
I'm looking at the 2014 IS350 as the replacement for my 2010 IS350 but one of the things I'm no thrilled about is the 18" 5 spoke rims. I saw JLex23 posted a picture of the IS250 in Atomic Silver with 18" 10 spoke "Mesh Alloy" rims which look really nice in my opinion. So here's the question...
Do the rims from the 250 fit on the 350? Do the bigger brakes on the 350 hit the 250 rims if installed?
Mesh Alloy rim pic is attached
Thanks

I had the same issue. I asked the dealer if they would swap the 5-spoke on the 350 for the 18" mesh alloys and they said, "The 350 isn't built that way." They didn't say whether it was *possible* they just said I couldn't get it.

The 18" mesh alloys and the 5 spoke 18" wheels are interchangeable. Sounds like the dealer didn't want to swap them out for you. Wouldn't make much sense from a cost perspective to have the 250 and 350 have different wheel sizes, bolt patterns, etc. I think the only thing that is dramatically different on these cars is the engine.

I freaking love my mesh alloys!! I actually preferred them to the F Sport rims. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't fit the 350. You may want to pursue that further with the dealership.

The brakes are bigger on the 350. My worry is the rim won't physically fit over the brake disk / caliper. If the dealer wont swap them then there's always the classified's but like folks have said I prefer the look of the mesh alloy. I guess I'll see what the dealer has to say.
Thanks!!

Did you ever get an answer from the dealer?
Looking at the 2015 IS350 with luxury package.
I'd pay for the 18" mesh rims but I think the 18" 5 spoke are ugly. Did anybody ever get satisfaction from the dealer on swapping these? I'll stick with the stock 17s over the 5 spoke 18s and use the $1k to buy aftermarket.

I'm running 17" from an older 2G Is250 for my winter rims. Dealer told me the same thing but they fit well and I've been using them since early November. No issues so far that I've seen or noticed after 3000km

for clarification, you're saying the 18" mesh (on the IS250) fit the IS350 F Sport? any pictures?
for clarification, are you speaking to the 17" or the 18" fitting on the IS350 F Sport? any pictures?

Yes I've got an IS350 F sport Executive Package that came with OEM 18s. I got a set of 17s from a 2G IS250 AWD that are 17x8 as I recall.. I don't have a pic as these are my winter wheels but I'll snap one in the next couple of days and post it up

I can vouch for the OP's question; yes you can use the "IS 250" only rims on the IS 350. I just bought my 2014 IS 350 and my dealership did the swap for free. I really like the rims and was a selling point for me so they did it for free. Also, I've seen them on other IS 350's that were custom ordered.
Sewell Parts confirms that you can use them on the IS 350... The reason it says IS 250 only is for the same reason you can only get the "F-sport" rims on an F-sport model. It's about marketing lol.

This Spring I’m putting the 20 spoke Mesh 18” staggered wheels on my 2016 IS 300 AWD that came with the base 10 spoke 17” wheels. I found the set on eBay last year. 😀
