That was posted in Yahoo! She takes issue with the IS for being too edgy and the Passat for being too boring and the BMW for being too basic. What does this highly skilled arbiter of good design want?
And I quote about the IS from the author -- "Looking at the car head on, the headlights, grille and lower body form what looks like an angry face." Whooooo! An angry face on a hot sports car -- what careless design.
About the author -- Julie Halpert -- "Julie Halpert is a freelance journalist with over two decades experience writing for such publications as Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, AARP Bulletin, Family Circle, MORE, iVillage and Parents. She is also author of the book, Making Up With Mom. She covers a wide range of subject matter, everything from the auto industry, to technologies that improve the environment, ways to raise healthy kids and how aging boomers will reinvent retirement. She's also a food critic for AnnArbor.com and teaches a journalism class at the University of Michigan."
She's a jack of all trades but no where does it say she is an acclaimed car critic and car enthusiast.

I like 5 of the 6. Don't really like the Forester but I wouldn't put it on a "worst" list...just isn't my style. That was a terrible waste of an article. It's an uninformed opinion piece.
