losing the TRAC for 3 secs "defeats" the TRAC and VSC by Lexus standards aka there is still some intervention during excessive wheel slip. This method supposedly chits everything thing off completely.

got it disable, wasn't press the brake hard enough; I thought this was gone after few months I got my 06 IS LOL
But just wondering... any difference between the pedal way and holding the traction button?? coz same message came up on the desh

I'll have to try it again. I remember one time I disabled the driving nannies and when I tried to get the rear end to step out, it did for only a split second before traction control or whatever took over and stopped that sliding. I was definitely disappointed. However, I don't recall if I had TC off via the pedal dance or the button that time...

I had another instance where I just pressed the button once quickly to turn of TC and it automatically turned itself back on by the end of my hard-acceleration run.
