As I recall, I've bought them around 2012-2013. At the time those tires were produced very good results in the winter tire tests.
They provided balanced performance in different test conditions.

Jut picked up a 2014 IS250 AWD. I'm wanting to get snow tires, but not sure what I should get. Anyone have experience with any? Also, should I get steel wheels to mount them on as opposed to mounting them to the factory wheels?
Thanks,
Scott

It's about that time of year again in Minnesota where we're going to be blanketed by snow and temperatures are going to be < 35 F. Can any fellow winter drivers share what winter tire would be best for a 2016 IS 350 F Sport? Would it be best to switch to a square setup for winter? I am still running the stock staggered setup, but I am open to buying new wheels along with my tires for a square setup if that would be safer for winter conditions.
Would appreciate any feedback!

You can go square 17 inch wheels for winter. Many use 2IS 17 inch rims with 225/45/17.
You can get aftermarket 17's as well, just make sure they fit the front...clearing those big calipers.
