How long did it take from the time Lexus confirms your order to the build?

 

If you could provide a timeline from ordered => confirmed => build => shipped => arrived in port that would help everyone!

 

This is killing me. I ordered August 3rd and I can't get crap out of my dealer. I asked again today and was told I would get more info on Wednesday of this week! WTF! About ready to bag this and buy me a Caddy. Made here in the states. Start the clock all over again and still probably wouldn't wait this long. Not like I ordered every option available. And it is not even a F-Sport!

 

Ordered August 13, confirmed for the August 20th monthly deadline, build date October 21

 

Wow, it takes two months to start building from when they confirm! Mine was ordered 9/24 and confirmed about a week later.

 

I believe I read on some other threads here that all orders are formally accepted into the system (0r something like that) on the 20th of each month. That's why I mentioned the 20th deadline

 

I asked my sales guy to see if I can remove Paint Protection Film but he said that would change my delivery date. I wish I knew for sure.

 

Ordered May 17, Confirmed May 20, Build Sept 10, Shipped Sept 18, Due to arrive in port Oct 15

 

Wow, shipping to the east coast takes quite a bit longer. Mine was shipped Sept 24 and arrived in Long Beach Oct 7.

 

Yes it does. It is not just a straight shot across the Pacific.

 

They put them on a train in LA to TX they could do the same to the east coast but guess costs are higher.

 

For Colorado the shipments come into the seattle port, then train to denver then trucked to colorado springs.
i was told that colorado is just 1 state 2 far north for the shipments to come in via LA port which is strange because i am pretty sure LA is closer than seattle.

 

So does everyone get confirmed on the 20th? I wonder why mine didn't.

 

My understanding (I could me wrong here) is that customer orders are reviewed by Lexus and confirmed in their system on the 20th of each month. So, for example, all orders from August 21 through September 20th are officialy processed and accepted at the "factory" on September 20th.

 

So based on limited feedback.

Confirmed: 20th of each month (although my sales guys said mine was confirmed week after 9/24 order)
Confirmed to Build: 2 - 3.5 months
Build to Shipped: 8 days
Shipped to Port: 2 weeks (West coast) - 4 weeks (East coast) which port MN comes in through?
