Heated Seat Discussion (merged threads)

with the heated seats, do you think there is a difference with those who ordered the Cold Weather Package, to those who did not? Those with heated AND ventilated seats, as opposed to those with just heated seats? Those with leather, and those withnot? It is werid that some are saying the seats get very hot, and those who say just luke warm!
Anyone know why Lexus hasn't acknowledge the problem yet? Why are they making this more difficult than it needs to be?

Acknowledging the problem means taking the liability. That would require isolating the problem and finding a proper fix. That will also imply integrating this fix to the cars that are/will be manufactured. It is a very expensive step so it is needs to be justified (to Lexus not to customers) to acknowledge it.

Is Lexus not the company it once was?
What happened to their superior customer service?
You'd think that after the unintended acceleration fiasco, they'd be proactive on all fronts.

My f-sport seats vary from driver to passenger.
This is the euro version and with partial leather\cloth.
My driver side seat gets decent enough warm. I usually turn it down from full strength to lowest strenght within 5 minuts when it is under 0 degrees celcius.
However my passenger seat never gets properly warm. That one I can have turned on full strength all the time without it getting very hot.

Just purchased 2014 IS350 F-Sport and the seats get warm at best and only after I sit on them (cold to touch if they are not compressed). I had a BMW 335 and had to turn those seats down after 10 minutes. Took the car to dealer and they said they "are working as designed" This is a problem Lexus should aknowledge and fix. I plan on taking the service manager for a ride to see what he thinks then I will ask to ride in a non f-sport car to compare with him!

I think it is some sort of flaw, especially since there is a clear difference between my seats.
I have tried them both to compare them. Did ride as a passenger in my own car for about an hour when a mate drove it, and the passenger seat was not near as warm as the driver seat.

I'm a first-time Lexus owner, and I just purchased the 2014 is 350 f sport, brand new last weekend. I first noticed the weak seat warmers on my way home from the dealer. Even on the highest setting, my front seats get luke warm at best. I took the car to the dealer to see if something wasn't connected properly or if they were defective. Their service department had the nerve to tell me it was because I was driving in ECO mode, so the power to the heated seats was restricted. I said that's ridiculous, because the heated seats in the ES 350 loaner car they gave me got plenty warm and toasty, even in ECO mode. I am taking the car back to the dealer service department tomorrow and letting them know about this thread on clublexus. I love this car, but the seat warmers in my 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid were better than the ones in my new Lexus, which is really sad. Especially when it's only 20+ degrees outside!
