Lexus Test Driver
iTrader: (2)
my salesman showed me a picture of what the jack looks like but was waiting for Lexus to advise them on the feature, he mentioned they had japanese reps at the dealer and they couldn't give him a direct answer. However he said inserting a dvd while driving you will only be able to get sound. If you want picture the car must be parked with parking brake applied.

I put a DVD in my US-Spec IS 250 F Sport with nav/non ML and it played sound and showed the titles, etc., but the little box in the bottom left corner where the movie would be playing was blue and would not display video or let me enlarge the screen. Not sure if this was because the parking brake wasn't engaged (didn't think about that at the time) but despite what everyone has said, it did play a DVD..
If it can clearly read DVDs, I don't see why it wouldn't play one. I haven't tested it since. Any input?

Pole Position
i'm bumping this old thread because i can't get my iphone to connect via the aux or a/v modes despite using the 4-pole aux cord.
i can get the car to play a dvd, but using the phone would be so much easier. did a search here and on the web and can't seem to find anything. the dealer has no idea wtf i'm talking about and the manual is so scarce on info re: aux a/v.
help? anyone?
