Default Quick simple question about the IS

When getting out of the car will the doors lock for you or do you have to touch the handle.

There is little grove on the top of the handle. I think you need to touch that spot to lock.

The doors don't lock themselves. Personally, I hit the door lock button on the inside of the door as I exit.

Right.
There's also one on the underside. I pinch the handle to touch the both when locking.

Passive locking feature would be nice. Thanks though!

Will the doors lock if the key is inside the cabin or is it smart enough to know that the key is inside and will not lock (to prevent getting locked out of car).

Yes, it's smart enough to know the keys are within the interior perimeter and doors will not lock.
