So i got a quote from the body shop and it's at $600 for rear bumper respray . It's a BMW certified body shop and they only do high end cars. I saw lanbos, benz and bmws in their lot. They said it would be tough to match EXACT atomic silver color but they would try to get as close as possible. What do you guys say about that?

But if you remove the panels, you can see tons of screw driver marks, bent clips, missing clips. It was so bad, the panels wouldn't even clip on. They had to glue it back on.
They tried to blame it on me saying it was like they when they got it. LOL

Find a reputable Lexus certified shop to get it resprayed. Like everyone said it will be a few hundred dollars. $500 range. Your car will NOT be devalued $3,500. There would be a very slim chance a dealership would even notice the bumper has been repainted. On previous IS models Sewell offered pre-painted bumpers, I would call Sewell as well. If you file a claim on your insurance, then it will be reported on your Carfax, and then a dealer would see that at trade in. Bumpers are resprayed so often and are done so well now a days its honestly not a big deal.

Got this resprayed today. And I am very impressed with the job. Can't even tell a respray has been done on the bumper and color looks bang on. The body shop was saying that they didn't know how to make a "similar" color cuz of it being so new and having many different shades of colors (this body shop is the only Lexus Certified shop here in Vancouver and the dealership themselves send the cars to them for all body related jobs). The paint specialist had to call Lexus to find out the exact formula for Atomic Silver and then he made it from there.
