Default Waiting game: waited how long till you get/got your 2014 IS?

I must have lucked out judging by the posts here about how ppl wait weeks or months to get thier 3IS

I went into dealership on a Saturday with intention to pick up a ct200h, saw it was way too small in the backseats so looked at 250 and drove that and the 350.

Never looked back after the 350.

Asked dealer for a 350 awd with premium package in starfire pearl (Canada option) and they secured the last one in my area and delivered 2 days later on Monday.

Didn't like the F sport seats and wanted vented seats so it was ok for me to lose out on the LFA cluster and 8speed and the rest of the track oriented goodies. F sport was only $700 more.

There certainly is a huge difference from being able to locate one on the lot, at another dealer locally, or already allocated to dealer and on the way as opposed to us who have 'special' ordered. As you mentioned, it appears a large majority of us are having to wait months to get our cars. I imagine at some point, the inventory will catch up with demand and the wait will subside. I could have easily had a car the first day I showed up at the dealership. They had at least a half dozen on the lot. Just none equipped like I wanted and I wasn't willing to just settle. And now I wait! Congrats on your find and purchase and welcome to the club!

Waiting since 9/9/13 and still waiting. Should be a couple more weeks. The car is in Long Beach clearing the red tape to be shipped to Texas.

In South Africa you wait about 4 and a half months for an IS 350 F-Sport. For a non F-Sport variant you wait about 2 months. Don't understand the dif's.

We don't get any of the IS 250 variants or the Hybrid just yet.

I have been waiting since August 2013 for a IS 350 F-Sport and expect the car in early December 2013.

Most likely since the F-sport is selling more than expected and they didn't make as many F-sports as they did the Luxury models.

Been waiting since the middle of September and ETA is apparently end of October. It was planned for production in September and the dealership ordered it for me just before production started. Hoping there's no delays since I already traded my car in and I've been driving a horrible ES for a month.

Is the truck yours or did the dealer loan it out? One of my conditions for trading in early was to get a reasonable rental until my car arrives.

How is it that it's only a month and a half? Most special orders are 2-3 months from what I been told. Also why did the dealer take your trade when they didn't have a new car for you!?
