Go check out the so-called 3K cheaper price of the 320i you stated after you add the 250's standard equipment and see what the price jumps to. Sunroof, Sat radio, SmartAccess entry, Metallic paint, self-leveling HIDs.

You seem to be on a personal vendetta against the IS250. Just drop it and move on. Surely you can contribute to this forum and its members in a positive way with newer, fresher comments or critiques on different threads. This one's exhausted. Good luck!
Edmunds compare it with 328 so as motor trend, I never acctually saw it compared with 320 so I assume that is the reason.
The fact that options add more $$$ on german cars is a different story. They also offer more vehicles models and more engines versions that Lexus. Plus not everyone is looking for fully equip models.

As for the last part...this is the topic of discussion here. I agree with the CR , Edmunds and other reviewers of this car like other members and as long as the critique constructive I don;t see any problem. Gl to you too

Lets be fair here. My car was rate in 2007 was 24/32 and they rate it lower 21/29 after few years I average of 26-28mpg. The TL 2013 is 20/29mpg and Average 22mpg. My friend has a 2009 TL 3.5 and I know exactly it consumes more gas even though they both rate almost the same gas mileages. I think Lexus doesnt care what enthusiast like us think , as long the cars sell well they are keep doing it. I get your point and I think for the money the 2.5 V6 is a little over price.

Sorry, but the 328 is a better buy because it's more "fun to drive" based on more torque and power AND 23 CITY!. Do not and I will say again do not relate the 250 with "fun to drive" because Lexus and other car enthusiasts only agree that the IS350 F Sport is a "fun to drive" car. Lexus failed completely on the 14 IS250 and we will soon know it when they replace the engine next year as rumors are saying, perhaps not. What you think?
I'm tired of the IS250 bashing on here.

If I being a car enthusiast find the IS250 more than adequate/peppy than i guarantee you that over 95% of the consumers would also find it more than adequate.

This is by no means slow. It is in fact on the leaner side of fast;

Faster than most base cars anyway. And definitely surpasses them all in smoothness & refinement.

And regarding MPG, the German Turbo 4's are known for their fancy sticker MPG, but they're real world gas guzzlers.

Looking at the BMW 328i it doesn't seem to rosy. Considering how incredibly short its geared and how much power & torque it has i must say i'm not impressed. Too much revving and noise for little forward thrust..

Yes I said "Civic Si" which weighs less and goes from 0-60 in 6.7 seconds according to Honda 2011 models. 1 whole second faster than the 250. What the 250 can beat is a Prius and nothing more because most average cars out there are around 200 horsepower 180 torque or if not above. Well the Prius does save twice as much gas LOL

yowps3 by far is the most "knowledgeable" "car enthusiast" in CL!
By the way, please do not quote someone and change the subject because I didn't state the 250 isn't "adequate" but rather not "fun to drive". Okay now sure it's adequate, but not in the "Luxury Sport Sedan" category baby.
Ohh please it's not our fualt that you have a grudge against the IS250. What happened? Did you get raped by an IS250 for such despise for it...

6.7 seconds is **** poor considering the Civic has the exact same engine size, yet it's much smaller and essentially a tin can on wheels.

Once again I stand by my original statement. Yet you keep bringing up subjective trash.
