Is that like a staging area for new cars to be picked up at your dealership? I've been to several Lexus dealerships but have never seen an empty room this large.

It was amazing when I walked out and my car was the only one in the delivery bay. Huge 4 car bay and my car was the only one in there. It was sweet!

In the dealership which I bought the car from, it has three bays but the ceiling is not as high as yours. When I got my car, all bays were full and I have to resort to pick up the car from outdoor parking despite they parked my car in a safe spot.
But indoor parking for delivery is the best scenario. So it is great for you.
FYI, in all the pictures I saw from Lexus Japan dealerships, delivery is all indoor and a lot of people greet you with flowers and present the keys in a box.

Really wish Japanese automakers would adopt the German way of doing things by offering a Japan delivery of your new Lexus.
